And we have seen many video's about the pillows etc. But we all have different machines and we have to adjust things and try again and again until it's right. When I used to get press marks on blankets which shows even more than shirts, I would literally press the rest of the blanket and then no press marks. Years later, I found pressing pillows and Vapor foam. But even though it took extra time, it did compress all therefore making the press marks go while flattening all. Hope that makes sense.

@@AngieHolden I thought the bleed did the edges of the design and didn't affect the interior designing. We tried a zodiac cup and the words looked bunched, the crab had no definition. Will turning the bleed off affect the images and words?
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
It depends on how you have it designed but it can definitely cause what you are describing. I would turn it off for all sublimation projects anyway so give it a try with it off.

Hi Angie! What’s the difference between “heat protective paper” and “butcher paper”? Do we need both? Thank you! 💜
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
You just need one or the other! Something to protect your work surface and heat press.

Would using a folded up towel be similar to the foam? Or does it not have enough give?
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
I don't think it would be equivalent. You need a bit more give than that.

Hi Angie, Thank you for another great video. I can't wait to try this. I was wondering what temperature you were pressing at and for how long. I'm brand new to sublimation. I've made a few things so far and have gotten press lines on some. I'm still trying to figure out how long to press and temperature setting. A lot of the things I've bought don't provide that information. The only recommendations I have is what is on the A-Sub paper box.
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
That is all you have to go off of really. First would be what the blank supplier recommends. Second would be the back of the paper box and trial and error.

I'm hoping I can get a response... I'm in Canada and I have looked everywhere for those baby onesies as well as any sublimation onesies and can't find them anywhere! Do you know where I could get them? tia :)
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
Sure. These are from Cricut. You should be able to order from their site from Canada. My coupon code might work as well so try CCC2021 when checking out if you spend at least $50!

Hi! We do our shirts on 8" x 11", and use a lot of that area leaving little leeway for the pillow, what size would you recommend. Or would you recommend the hand cut foam option for that? Thanks in advance!
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
The hand cut foam may work better in that case as you could customize it.

what tape dispenser do you use for your heat tape?
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
I generally like the Artesprix or Cricut heat tape and those both take a standard office tape measure. I just make sure to get one that is weighted.

Great video! Question when using the Cricut press mat in my swing heat press I am no no longer getting the pressing lines(TY) however it is changing the color of the shirt (making the grey a little lighter). I'm following the back of Asub paper recommendations of 400 for 35-40 sec. Any ideas on what would cause this?
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
Did you leave them sit a bit and see if the color came back? Or try washing them? You can also cover the ENTIRE area with butcher paper to see if that helps.

Great video, Thank you for sharing your recommendations! I do have a question, though. Could I use the easy press mat to put in between the shirts, like you did for the pressing pillows and foam, or would the mat leave an outline/mark on the shirt?
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
You definitely can! It is just that you can only get three sizes with the EasyPress mat.

@@AngieHolden I ordered the pressing pillows and tried them out today. I am still getting lines on my shirts. I tried adjusting the pressure of my heat press, but still got lines. The top part and the left side are where the heat press is leaving lines on my shirts. I put the two shirts in the dryer to see if that would help take out the lines, but sadly it did not. Do I need to try to calibrate the heat press by adjusting the springs on top where the pull down handle is at? I have an older model heat press that got passed down to me. The model is Homcom 15x15. If you have any suggestions on what would help me, I would gladly appreciate it!
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
BOO! I haven't used that model at all. It sounds like maybe the pressure is uneven if just two sides leave a mark. Can you adjust that at all? Pull up just those two sides?
@angellynmcdaniel17383 жыл бұрын
@@AngieHolden It seems to be adjusting the bottom part more than the sides or the top. I tried a few more shirts a little bit ago and still getting the marks. I have lessened the pressure, then it is too loose and my design doesnt press all the way. (Some shirts have a rustic/vintage look to them now, which is kinda nice), but still has the marks. Then i tighten it back up, and same thing. I cannot find a happy medium and I am getting very frustrated with it. I am thinking of getting an Easy press maybe this weekend if I cannot get the heat press figured out.
