Ok but what about when the rest of the shirt isn’t wrinkled. This happens especially in gildan 50/50, black hoodies especially. If I use my smaller platen so I’m not pressing over top the front pocket I get an ugly rectangle lol

hi, i rarely press anything that high on a shirt. i dont feel it looks good when the shirt is worn. but if you wanted to press somethinf high up close to the collar. you can use a mouse pad or teflon pillow inside to help raise the shirt up to press. flip the shirt over, slide the pillow or pad inside and press. hope that helps

A print "square" on polyester or cotton / poly blends that doesn't go away is usually because the temp was too high or it was pressed for too long.. That's why I stick to 100% cotton.. Too easy to melt / burn polyester..
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 3 жыл бұрын
those cotton poly blends are tricky.
@AskariArt
@AskariArt 3 жыл бұрын
For dualblend/triblend: I'd reduce temp, with the heatpress nation press use a laser temp gun to check the center of your plate. My press is actually 320 when I set it to 312. If I set mine to 320 its 334 and that burns the shit out of my shirts. Pressure is key, depends are you using a cover, pad are you threading the shirt. It really is a science and there are a lot of variables that will change the outcome

Great info, I use a Printful and have had customers receive their t-shirts and the shadow shows up after they wash it - what would be causing this issue?? Same dark square box around the graphic, but it shows up discolored after it has been washed - and Printful doesn't give any explanation they just say sorry and offer a reprint. Any ideas or help, or can this be fixed after the customer already has the product in their hands?? Thanks!

How would you fix the ring on a Poly polo?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh Жыл бұрын
polyester is a tricky material to work with. the heat activates the pigment in the material. so the discoloration from the heat on polyester is usually due to the dye in the material.

@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 3 жыл бұрын
yes. that is correct. repeating the text would be ganging. the order could possibly be rejected. i dont work for supacolor and i dont know how strict they are on that type of stuff so i cant say if it would be canceled or not. just my assumption.
@OneDegreeLife
@OneDegreeLife 3 жыл бұрын
@@BigBrandoh Right on. Ya, it's technically ganging, but if it wasn't a bunch of different designs it might be more of an issue. Seems like a waste, but I get the money end of it. I have an account and listed you as the referring source. Have my samples, but haven't created an order yet as I'm still narrowing down my designs/shirt choices for Supacolor use. Plan on using this for poly/blends as opposed to Elasti from TE. Just wanted to strategize my layouts. Keep up the helpful vids. @BigBrandoh

i use it for static. it helps buffer out the static in the room. static sucks cuz the backing of the transfer can get stuck to the top heat platen. tryna peel it off a hot surface is no fun hahahahaa. so by adding the teflon sheet it acts as a buffer between the transfer backing and top platen.
