Thanks so much., Kevin! I loved the way shesaid the aerobic, or cardio we were told to do was-not as important as strength work. Im not a gym person but Ive finally been able to get out to the gardens and woods. Finally getting to go without crutches after my broken legJuly 8th. Not back to my beloved jump rope. Bringing in firewood now that it got cold.

New to these podcasts on osteoporosis and exercise but I keep hearing from multiple sources about the importance of high impact. I would think there'd be a LOT of us who have osteoporosis that also have osteoarthritis and can't do high impact. So it's so discouraging to hear how important and imperative it is to do high impact. I know every time I try even just for a minute, I end up tweaking my low back a day or two later with the most minutia of movements, so that I'm having to extremely reluctantly resign myself to no high impact exercises ever again. I've tested this way too many times, always ending up hurting my low back and sometimes putting myself out of commisson. What can those of us with low back osteoarthritis do to compensate for inability to do high impact exercises? Anything?

Is the osteostrong program help? I tried for a few months but never felt the "ten" minute rotation once a week was helpful.

What if you have Osteo and Spondylolisthesis? Not sure what bone impact exercises are actually safe.
