Fantastic business concept 👍 I wish you all the success in the world. Having had a heart attack at 46 and still suffering the post psychological effects that go with that I know how important that knowing there is a defib minutes away would be very reassuring. If you’re looking for a salesperson or trainer in the North West uk/Merseyside area I would be very interested in spreading the message and working for a company with such high moral values.

The most important measure not to die from a sudden heart attack is provably not to get "the injection"

I do believe that resuscitation training should be a normal thing that everyone needs to have, whether they have a cardiac problem or not. For a defibrillator to be for home use, it'd be nice if they were compact and small enough that it could be in your home much like an emergency alarm box is there for people to use. It could even be an attachment that you wear on your outer clothing, much like a policeman's POV. In this way, if a person is walking their dog and has a cardiac arrest, someone who has resuscitation training could very well activate the device and then call the ambulance.

Nice seeing you out and about, Doc! Hope you're enjoying your lunch or whatever it is! Is this in York? Always taking advantage of an opportunity! That's why you're successful and a much loved and respected doctor. Show me the money!!!

Dr Gupta, it's nice to see you get back in the groove. It was disheartening to see you in grief. One question I had is when we someone in early stages of heart attack, before an ambulance comes, what drugs k ke asprin, clopidrogel, sorbitrate can be given to the patient to increase his probability of survival.

My son has an implanted device under the skin. Made by Boston scientific. It has given him 17 shocks that it shouldn't have. 11 in one day at the hospital and they couldn't stop it. The company rep said only a few emts and hospitals have the magnets to turn it off.😢 He was afraid to go to sleep for months.. They finally shut it off, and he hopes to get it removed someday. He had a very low refraction rate but it improved before he started getting the shocks. They think the shocks were caused by irregular heart beats that didn't need shocking. He's since had an ablation and is doing great. Just last week, i was found to have a 35 to 40 percent refraction rate.

It’s good to par attention to this, but helping people to be as healthy as possible should have the most attention (and therefore money). We let people get sick because of their lifestyle, and then we try to fix them..

Because the system wants people to be sick because it's a gold mine!!

Would patients be educated to or understand asytole vs v fib as the machine should detect and understand the different management accordingly. And would having the machine delay calling emergency services or delay emergency services coming to them, being reassured the patient has or knows how to use a defib already in place?. More immediate nuances and complexities?

I was looking at needing a BiV ICD. My EF first tested at 25%, finally18 mo later up to 45%! I try not to worry that I may need someone to use one of these defibrillators on me, but nobody around to do it.

Get an EV ICD. It's much more efficient and safe than the older ICD models. Remember the first ICD used to 250g. The older ICD models today in market around 75g. Big improvement. EV ICDs are the best

Was recommended to take Plavic and to get off NSAIDS (Asprin) because to recently got to PRP injections for shoulders so no NSAIDs for 6 weeks. Now that it past 6 weeks is it safer to go back to baby asprin than Plavic?
