Lian Quan Zhen uses M. Graham & Co. watercolors: Pyrrol Red, Prussian Blue and Hansa Yellow Deep. He uses 140-lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper, or an unsized rice paper backed with heavy rice paper ow watercolor paper.

New to watercolor. I loved your technique for laying down a base of color and separating the clumps of grapes. I also need to learn how to define the grapes as in your finished piece. DO you have a video for the next steps? Thank you

What are the colors and paper used to paint this master pice art? Will it come so nice with water colors?
@swetpmnkygrl12 жыл бұрын
I want to say he's using a rice paper which is fairly thin and allows the colors to bleed and spread. Without him picking it up I can't be 100% sure, but I know that he uses the rice paper frequently and it's a traditional material in chinese painting.

i was considering this to but it seemed to me that it didnt really have the effect of rice paper since i use it to. but perhaps its a different sort of rice paper? interesting. thank you for your reply :)

Most of watercolorists use Arches or Fabriano Artistico 140-lb cold pressed paper.
