I am so tempted by this despite the obvious difficulties getting such a long 4p only heavy game played. But I am a Eurogamer too and I love Mattias Kramer's Euro designs (Lancaster, Rococo, Glen More, Kraftwagen) as well as Watergate.

Just played Kraftwagen again this past weekend. That is a very underrated game.

Thanks very much for this! I unfortunately do not have anyone I'm going to be able to play this with, so I'm out of the Kickstarter, but I'd definitely sit down and play it if anyone local gets it and is looking for a player. Great overview!

Does this game come with 3 friends that are into both modern history and long board games?

Thank you for providing this explanation and analysis of Weimar. I found it very approachable and informative. I discovered Weimar a month ago. It is my first political game, euro-esque game. I love the theme, design, and all of the mechanics involved. (I am also learning Churchill as it is more widely known), but I have two questions pertaining to gameplay covered here. As you said, the rulebook leaves a few things to be..assumed: 1) Does the scoring phase take place after each person plays a card and or after everyone has played their hand of 5 cards? What constitutes the end of the round? 2) On the Issue Track. If a player cannot move any issue in the opposite direction or backward, does that mean that if an opposing party plays a card that manipulates an issue that is already passed the zero track, they can only move a new marker that is on the zero tack? Or can they move an existing issue marker backward on the diagonal if their party affiliation/color allows them too?

Might have missed it in the video...! But I didn't hear alot of details about the session. How long did you first game take? Did the game end early or the full 6 rounds? Which parties did you all play? And which party won and by how much? Just curious..!

Would you say if i like Twilight Struggle and Watergate that this will also be a good fit? Looks unreal.

Beware it’s the opposite end of the spectrum from a complexity scale of Wayergate. It’s still very good but just know what you are signing up for.

think I'd struggle with that unless just played for laughs.

Looks amazing but considering I doubt I would get it played (I have nobody who would play a 6 hour game that I usually game with) and the huge price tag (not saying it's not deserving of it), there's no way I can back it. But I'd love to play it! And great overview, guys.

Hate to say it but you lost if you were Government - if you have to place a Threat and there is no empty space the game ends instantly, with the government players losing 8 VP then winner is determined.
