Whoever gets this coach should be happy, this is a Prevost, you know it will ride smooth. 120k miles for a 2000 is good. inside clean, looks well maintained, asking $200k, great value.

@RH-cv1rg 2 жыл бұрын
The price has dropped $445,000 since it was last sold used. They put on another 80,000 since then so depreciation on the coach is $5.50 a mile, not including fuel, maintenance, taxes, etc. After all costs are considered, it is about 4 years solid of $500 a night hotels to breakeven. Now at $200,000 the numbers look a lot better.

@RH-cv1rg
@RH-cv1rg 2 жыл бұрын
@@jcman240 nope. $445,000 / 80,000 miles is $5.56 per mile of depreciation, check. $500 a night x 365 days x 4 years is $730,000. $730,000 - $445,000 = $285,000 or $3.56 a mile for diesel, maintenance, tires, overnight park fees, hookups, storage, laundry, and don't forget the mint on your pillow. Nope, there isn't anything fuzzy about my numbers.
@pedrothevenard
@pedrothevenard 2 жыл бұрын
But since it cost 200k now, even if you drive 200k miles in 10 years you'll still be able to sell it for close to 100k, which will be 50 cents per mile depreciation at most, and don't forget that you still have to account for transportation in this miles if you don't have an Rv, plus the maintenance of your house that you'll need, plus the hassle of transporting your stuff, and a hotel room the size of the coach anywhere in the coast , national park or any big city will potentially cost more than 500 bucks, i mean it is a trade, people that think that an Rv is an investment are stupid, you either love rvs or stay away from it.

You really found something special here Doug and I love it when you team up with Andrew. This coach is worthy of attention as not everyone wants slides and the problems that accompany them. I spotted the chandelier which would personally be replaced if I was the buyer. They are a hassle to clean and do make some noise whilst traveling. Otherwise it’s spectacular and worth every penny of your asking price in my opinion. Keep up the good work you guys and I’ll be seeing you soon. #GodBlessTheUkraine🇺🇦💫

Yes sir. The reason I traded a 2013 for a 1999 Marathon XL40 non slide Detroit diesel series 60 no EGR and no DPF to screw with the performance of the engine. Someone commented about this coach and mentioned rust on the undercarriage. Great thing about a Prevost Bus chassis they're built using high grade stainless steel throughout. On my coach the chassis steel is coated or polished, I have not found a speck of rust anywhere. Even the mud flaps are framed using polished stainless and washed up look as good as the day built! With airride driver seat and the solid chassis it's easy to drive 10 hour days if you need to.

Non-slides is the way to go - quieter ride & solid body. This is a perfect Prevost to buy & go through with a fine tooth comb. Unless there is bad rust on the under chassis this thing will be on the road for a long time with proper preventative maintenance, some upgrades, and a little love. ❤️ BTW: Andrew - I love that crazy chandelier!!!

Andrew - Depite popular belief, Irish Spring does not repel mice. I believe they actually like it. Being from NH, I would have to put my coach in storage each winter. I tried the Irish Spring soap one winter and had more evidence of mice activity than ever before. Everywhere I put a piece of that soap, it was covered in mouse poop. I don't recommend it! Very nice Prevost Marathon! Just wish it didn't have cruise airs. That's a non-starter for me. Another great video though!

Why do cruise air's suck so bad? I don't know anything about cruise air so if this is a stupid question I apologize. Thx for any info.
@DLTJR1959
@DLTJR1959 2 жыл бұрын
@@MaximusMerideus Cost of a cruise air is 4 to 5 times more than a comparable separate roof mounted unit. The advantages are less holes in the roof for possible water intrusion plus a sleeker top. The disadvantages are reduced bay storage space and added cost and expense. Another advantage is that you can service and or repair on the ground and don't have to go up on the roof. My personal preference is top mounted units. Cruise air's are quieter and don't vibrate the coach as much as roof top units.

In addition to what BSF mentioned, cruise airs are apparently difficult to get repair parts as they are no longer used. Also, on really hot, humid days when you need them the most, they can struggle if you are parked on hot pavement, since they intake and expel from underneath the coach. Have to keep air suspension up to help the air flow.

That Irish Spring Soap trick ? I had mice getting into my Ford F550 and finding mouse droppings on the console every morning when I go to start the truck. I placed 4 bars of soap through out the truck and the mice were actually eating the soap. I did not have success with the soap. By the way....It's Beauty of a Coach for that Price. Because of fuel costs, I think would just park it, put it up on cinder blocks and make it my new home, LoL !

Does it have the 365 upgrades front and rear? Does it have the electronics software upgrades? Is the build sheet available to view?

Andrew, with your platform, I feel you should let the folks know that these older coaches have Cruise Aires. Why is that important? Because they’re out of business and getting replacement parts is extremely difficult and getting more so every day. This should be disclosed by every seller. To buyers, you’re better off looking for a coach with roof top units.

That is a party or entertainment coach, even potentially used as an entertainment industry charter. For that kind of money, you can do far better when intending to live or extensively travel in a coach, because the amenities included here are very heavily skewed in the direction of entertaining, not the morning after and the realities of living the rest of one's time effectively and efficiently, or even meeting the rest of one's most basic needs.

@DLTJR1959
@DLTJR1959 2 жыл бұрын
They will average between 5-6-7 mpg. With it being a non slide it will be lighter and should be in the 6-7 mpg range. Our 52K pound Wanderlodge is in the 5-6 mpg range. States differ on licensing but a non commercial license is typically all that is needed. Some states require a B or C license that will cover anything over 26K pounds but again it varies state by state.

The living area and bedroom are super tight. The location of the TV over the drivers seat of the cab is odd and almost impossible to view from the sofa. What's with the carpet in the drawers? I'd rather have carpet in the bedroom. Also, you have all these really nice light colored cabinets and a black fridge. It's okay, but dated and all the lights and gold are a little too glam and Las Vegas like for me. I sure wouldn't pay $199,999 (marketing ploy to not charge $200,000) for it.

this is a 20-year-old coach.... and most high end RVs have carpeted cabinets. carpet in the bedroom is disgusting, old people stuff, i guess. the fridge was replaced, original shows light color fridge. easy fix, though. money fixes most of those things. post some pics of your coach on youtube, put a link so we can all see how you did it.
