The first two callers (George from Garland and Scott from Texas) are references to Prey co-producer George Broussard and 3D Realms founder Scott Miller. Garland, Texas was also where 3D Realms was founded.

Those two are also referenced in Max Payne 2 - the two cops Miller and Broussard talking about how to promote the name "Broussard".

Larry Glick WBZ, and Art Bell on C2C are the greatest night talk radio show hosts ever known. Both kept you interested, entertained, and amused through the lonely hours of the night with all sorts of interesting topics. I'm sorry they are gone, because there is no one to replace them. George Noory does not "get it" like Art did, and never will.

FWIW, the game Control has a homage/parody radio show based on Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell, and the book Ghostwritten by David Mitchell has a whole chapter about an overnight radio DJ who takes calls from UFOlogists, paranormal enthusiasts, etc. Art definitely had cultural influence.

@@fluffywolfo3663 Yeah I liked the idea, within Control's universe, that the Federal Bureau of Control was using America Overnight to get a jump on Altered Items and weird phenomena. It would certainly make sense if there were real OOPs and AIs out there.
