What I love the most about this movie is how lost Lizzie's family was to the evolution of Lizzie's feelings for Mr. Darcy because everyone was so focused on Jane's drama with Bingley. It's the funiest part of the story, because they don't notice anything, even when it happens right in front of their faces - like when Lizzie & Darcy are mooning over each other across the room in Bingley's proposal scene! -. I mean, they had reasons to not notice, but I kind of like that, for everyone in the story, Elizabeth & Darcy happened on the side to Jane & Bingley's main romance

Elizabeth Bennet is a young lady who has been teaching young men not to be snobs for over two hundred years. I wish somehow we could bring Miss Austin to our time for an afternoon film showing. That's a cute idea for a Doctor Who fanfic but I won't write it.

"The thing about his actor is that I think he's only ever been hot in this movie" Well not exactly, he played Hareton in a 90s adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" and I think he was hot in that, and I loved that adaptation because Heatclif wasn't hot in my opinion, which I like because it's a story of revenge, not a love story, the love is between Hareton and Chatherine's daughter Catherine, not Cathering and Heathcliff

Ladies I have to recommend - if you love period dramas you should watch the 2004 version of “North and South” with Richard Armitage. What a great reaction! I actually live near where they filmed Mr Darcys house, it's called Chatsworth house and you can go and visit there, I've been a few times and even been camping in the grounds for a special event. Also you can indeed have blonde hair and have a dark haired sibling, I have strawberry blonde straight hair (a variant of the ginger gene) and my only brother has black curly hair, I inherited mine from my dad and he inherited his from my mum, DNA is a lot more complicated than most people realise. I always watch this movie in winter when I'm feeling a bit low, I just stumbled on your reaction and it really cheered me up, it's nice to see other people who totally get how great this film is.

I have to respectfully disagree. This is his most mouthwatering, but I thought he was quite attractive in Wuthering Heights, The Three Musketeers, the remake of Howards End, and what a freaking _treat_ to have both Matthew MacFadyen and Richard Armitage in MI-5. 🤤🤤🤤 He was quite cute in that, and Richard could get it any time.

Hey there! I always look for new P&P reactions on yt but I usually ignore the videos where people have already seen it 'cause first time reactions are my favorite. I still decided to watch yours and I'm so happy I did 'cause you girls are so funny & I love your vibe, you seem like the type of girls I would be friends with lol. That's why I decided to leave a comment (which I never do on yt), I thought it would seem weird because of my username (I made it like that yearsss ago & never changed it) BUT then I saw your other video and the fact you two also love "A Knight's Tale" made me realize you'd probably be the only people who'd recognize the name :) Anyways, as for recommendations, I've seen every possible Jane Austen adaptation (movies, miniseries, Clueless lol) and everything similar to it, so the thing I'd recommend is "North & South" - it's a miniseries, 4 episodes, but I'd say it's the closest thing you'd find to P&P, enemies to lovers type thing, broody main guy lol it's SO GOOD, even if you don't do it for a video I still recommend watching it :)

As a Millennial, nothing proves to me how timeless Pride and Prejudice (and this adaptation of it) is than Gen Z hurling their slang at it. Case in point: 17:52 "It's giving, it's givinnnng!" How about the Colin Firth miniseries? While the movie is a beautiful adaptation of P&P as a rom-com (of a subgenre that P&P actually started), the 90s miniseries is the most accurate representation of the book. It most likely won't be your favorite, but it would make for an excellent reaction video.

With my sister we used to watch it together when we were younger. When I first watched it, I had already watched to 1995 miniseries (and read the book) but I still loved this movie so much! I was surprised at how handsome Darcy is ...I actually was commenting that with a friend that watched it first time in 2019 and she found him sooo attractive, she didn't expect it either. The gestures and the body language, the landscapes...and of course the actors! So good! Actually this actor got the part because he and Keira did "that almost kiss" on his casting, on the chemistry test when they were acting together for the part and it was totally off script! Anyway, if you want to watch another period drama series of enemies-to-lovers, you guys can watch the 2004 version of "North and South" with Richard Armitage... he is so swoon worthy...that's another series I watch for comfort...yay to happy endings!

Choke the mother for allowing Lydia to behave like that. And then act as if nothing happened when she came home, after she almost ruined everybody else's life. If she was self centered, who did Lydia learni it from. Not to say that everything your child does is necessarily the parents fault every time. She would not have been coming for a visit after she did that to the rest of my family. Mr. Bennett also should have been more strict with both Mrs Bennett and Lydia.

To answer your question about how his sister could be blonde when her brother is brunette- Blonde is a recessive trait that only shows when expressed. Two brown haired people can make a blonde child, because they can carry the recessive trait while not physically showing it. Although it is less statisically probable, it is possible. Since his sister is blonde, there's a good chance that Mr. Darcy has the blonde recessive trait (and therefore he and Lizzie could have a blonde child, despite both having brown hair).
