If you make it through 7 years of seminary, then you REALLLLLY want to be a priest. I think you're very blessed to have discerned your calling and to be living it out. When mass ends and the deacon says "go forth and glorify the Lord by your life," you are the embodiment of this. You're a great example for all of us of how to use our gifts and talents to glorify God.

My spirit just soars whenever i view any of your videos Fr. David Michael. God talks through your enthusiasm, your faith, your love for God, your honesty, your energy, and your personality. How blessed we are to “know” you.

Thank you Father David for this informative look into seminarian life. What I took from this is that you don't have to be perfect to enter the seminary but, in order to succeed, you must submit to the one who is perfect - our Lord.

I'm going through the RCIA process, one of the many facets of Catholicism (aside from wanting to participate with my Catholic wife) was that priests go through a very LONG process to do what they do, where as our protestant brethren don't require any formal training; at least that I know of.

When Fr. David Michael talks about you don’t need to be holy to enter, it’s true. I knew several in seminary with us who had a less then perfect past. And many saints had immoral and sinful paths. God doesn’t call the worthy, but he makes worthy the called

This was interesting but c'mon, you can tell us. There must have been nights when you cut loose? I worked in restaurant in Milwaukee when I was in college and every week we'd have a group of 5 nuns come in for a liter of wine and a plate of garlic bread. They were wonderful customers and we always gave them 5 pieces of bread instead of 4. If I was in the kitchen I'd pick out the biggest pieces because at that time we cut the bread ourselves.
