FF9 was for me my favourite game of all time. I loved the story, the characters, the ambiance of medieval times. I had a good impact on my young years(I was 13 or so and now I'm 31). Vivi is the best character ever, I could imagine myself being himself for many traits I shared (I was shy and insecure). really an amazing game, I'd cry over some soundtracks, like melody of life, you are not alone,

I definitely did not know 4 and 5. The fact that you can play co-op in one of the older classic JRPG style Final Fantasy games is actually kind of mindblowing. I have about a bajilion hours in FF9, but never did I ever see anything about the co-op part. Three FF titles being worked on at the same time with the goal to make them all "different" FOR THAT POINT IN TIME BACK THEN is by itself a speechless feat, but how GOOD they turned out to be just showed how different the big boy game companies were and game quality in general. Some of them are sadly just a fallen giant and an empty shell of it's former self.

Knew all of the facts, i am a huge FF9 nerd, no wonder its my fave game of the series. 1. The Chocobo statue was pointed out by my dad when i first played, he told me to stop the dialog and look for my favorite bird, took me a while to find it! 2. Noticed it was Uematsu's final sole work after playing FFX where he was not mentioned alone under OST composers anymore. 3. Saw the add in magazines and even in TV here in germany! It was also featured on some Game magazine CDs with trailers and stuff! 4. The 2 Player Battle option, while not mentioned in the Handbook, is also features in FF6 and my bro and i tested it from there on with every FF game, so that was an easy find. We did fought over who gets control over Zidane so we switched after every boss battle. 5. As mentioned in 3, game magazines had these CDs full of trailers and reviews to games and the annoucement of all three games was on it as well!
