I would be interested about how it performs head to head with the EVO400. I own one replacing a 2 year old EVO200. . I love the sound and my Martin Logan speakers love it .Love to see a comparison Kevin . I did lose an EL34 tube replaces it . The Adaptive AutoBias really works well.

Great review! I am considering adding this to my set up, it would be paired with an Anthem MRX740 for home theater driving Blumenhofer minis as the fronts/2 channel stereo. How hot does it run compared to a full tube amp? Could it be placed in a cabinet (or does it run too hot)?

We love our prima luna. Its a fabulous amplifier. Where are the valves made that you use? Is it only China, Russia and Czech Republic that make them? Or are there other sources, like in western or northern Europe? Greetings from Australia :-)

What’s the output values for the headphone? I ask for I cannot find the info on your website, and do you have a point-of-sale/distributor in Japan?

I have the Evo 300 integrated amplifier already. I want to buy this new one to try it - but you haven't fixed my biggest complaint with the Evo 300. The remote DOES NOT HAVE A POWER BUTTON. I cannot tell you how annoying that is. Please, please, please add a power or standby button to your remotes!

You don't want that on a big tube amplifier. I don't think any quality larger tube amps have it.

Prima Luna why make a tube amp 2 sounds like a solid state LOL
@ridirefain66062 жыл бұрын
It does not, the design is like BAT Solid State amps. Which have an emphasis (Not exactly) to sound like their tube counterparts. If you ever owned a tube amp, I will warn you that they have a need for periodic maintenance; (Needing to be re-tubed, which for a set of Mullard EL 34's on a EVO 300 would be around $160.00 about every 3 years, own the EVO 400 double that.) as well as they generate a lot of heat. You should never run one unattended. Some folks just do not want to deal with the hassle, so as Kevin pointed out an Hybrid option makes a lot of sense.
