Hell yeah. I was laid off from a Contractor Job & on Unemployment. I qualified for a Fed. Grant to my local College for a Credited 10 month CDL Training Program w/ job placement upon graduation. 🤟 I still learned things every day while out but I think you need a minimum of 6 months training 5 days a week, 8hr days & some Saturdays. Made me a great driver & I had X endorsement with HazMat, Doubles, Triples, etc. If it had wheels? I could drive it.. Many people don't know of these Grants available while on Unemployment to retrain & start a new career

I'm in TNt right now and it sucks man. I haven't been home since April 28th. I went to Springfield.. got my license May 29th. Sat around Springfield until June 10. Then got a trainer June 13 and now it's July 5th and I'm in then back end of TNT. At this point, I feel like quitting everyday. I just want my own truck. I've already started applying for other jobs. I havent been home since April. it's July. I'm just over it. I'm honestly just tired.

The way that I look at TNT is that it's a paid internship. One is learning a trade and skill that is going to pay dividends in the future but there's a bit of time until that happens. Once one gets through that first year it's like handing them the keys to their future. Trucking was going to be my "retirement" job but after crunching the numbers and evaluating my future earning potential in the career that I've been in for 17 years, it makes more sense to take an early "retirement" (I'm only 43) and start my new career with Prime. You didn't fail in your quest with Prime. You've learned a valuable lesson that you're now able to pass on to others so that they don't find themselves in the same situation that you find yourself in. That knowledge is valuable and the value of it will one day be paid back to you.

Good luck to you! There’s an old saying: man makes plans and God laughs! Sorry to hear of your troubles. Unexpected frozen pipes are awful to deal with! Glad you made the hard choices and are making things happen for you! A great sign of tuff character! I respect that!! I’m headed to Prime early August. I’ve had my share of twists and turns. Gotta keep at it! Again good luck to you!

Good to hear from you Rich! Hope everything goes well for you. Still haven't had that famous BBQ everyone talks about. We met at the Plaza building that one time back in November I think. Hope to meet up again at some point. My Son and I are teaming on his lease truck. I may be getting my own lease soon. Thanks again for sharing your update. See you soon!

I’m guessing it’s 30k miles all together that the truck runs and not just the miles you drive ?

Trainers basically put their life on the line with a individual that has no experience driving over the road!!!! Using them for revenue? That’s a joke.
