Just lost my dad on the 18th he loved the outdoors. We were on a Wma hunt that we take every opening weekend last thing we talked about on Saturday when he called was how he was there with us and had we harvested anything yet was proud to tell him his grandson had got one that morning and we were on the way back to the stands. Very happy for your guy’s Dad for harvesting this animal by himself and sharing with you both! You did a great job preparing both meats, and cooking them. The gravy dish was great to use on bth meats. My vote would be for the fresh harvested animal that a great person shared with his son’s. Steak au Poivre is one of my favorite ways to cook steak!!!! Looking forward to watching this one! Your podcast was awesome, btw!!!! I think I want both! Send me an Evite....now I am hungry! :P It is fun to see other people cook recipes you are familiar with..... You used two mixing bowls to crack the peppercorns and I use a granite mortar and pestle. I press the steaks into the pan to get maximum contact and fond creation, you didn't. And you end up at the same endpoint:) Great job! 100% right! The joy you get out of cooking for your friends and family is what it is all about!
