Dad had this vehicle in beautiful red. Yesterday he totaled it when a woman ran a red light. He walked away with a few scrapes and bruises. I dont care what experts say about this vehicle but the dad was driving saved his life. Even the first responders said they couldn't believe he got out on his own.

We have a 2019 SR , we do like the mileage, we did test drive a chr and we felt too confined inside. It is underpowered but we don’t hotrod anymore and no towing. This vehicle is a transportation car for work and to get to the marina on the weekends and a side trip every now and then. Thanks for your opinions, good job!

I have a 2009 Versa Hatchback and I love Nissans.. I really want to upgrade to a new vehicle soon and since I’m single I really think the Kicks is the next car I’m going to buy. I honestly don’t even care what people say about the brand.. my Versa has been reliable even after a front end accident, nothing even happened to my engine. I trust the brand. I just got a silver Kicks SR in august. I love it! It test drove the CHR that same day and although I thought the chr was more stylish, it still didn’t beat the kicks. The chr was pretty slow. I traded in my 2016 Frontier SV. I can definitely get used to all these features

Thanks for the review it was extremely informative and very helpful. My friend just got one and loves it. I think Nissan has made some serious improvements to their cvts in the last couple years. I'm on my 4th one and have never once had an issue as long as you maintain the vehicle and get the cvt transmission fluid changed when your supposed to they can last a long time. I find most people like to drive them like race cars when their designed for fuel efficiency.

Indian version of this 2020 model now comes with 1.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine with 5 Speed manual transmission produces 106ps of power and 141 nm of torque. and it also comes with 1.3 turbocharged petrol engine with 6 speed manual transmission and CVT with 7 speed manual mode which produces 156 ps of power and 254 nm torqur

Id you’re looking to buy new or used soon you might find some great deals and negotiation ability with covid going on. I've had a 2019 Kicks since last August and, so far, I'm pretty pleased. There are a few drawbacks to the CVT, but as long as it proves to be durable (many old school dudes feel they aren't), I'll be fine with it. I tend to baby my vehicles, so I'm hoping that helps. I was angling for an SV, but got a last minute upgrade to the SR, thanks to a dealership screwup. Glad to have all the bells and whistle, but I'm less impressed with the Bose headrest than I hoped I'd be. My fuel economy leans toward the upper 30s on average, and I have had many trip mpgs (on my 50 mile work commute) in the upper 40s. I have topped 50 miles per gallon twice on that commute.

I guess it's all about your perspective. I traded in a 2012 Versa that had 4 speakers to a Kicks SR with the Bose, and I LOVE THE STEREO SOUND this system provides.

So, not a Nissan fan. Being in the business, I’ve seen first hand the many reliability issues that comes along with them. But, that being said, I like the Kicks. I think the styling is great. The interior is very roomy for the size. I like the available tech, although they really need to offer a sunroof. Even though hardly anyone would buy it, give it an option of a 6-speed as well. My friend had a white one which was totaled when he got rear ended and he liked it so much he asked me to find him another one. I sold him a dark blue one with the white roof. Great review as always Nolan!

Another really good review. I agree with Official Jonathan below about a couple of shortcomings - the rear drum breaks, the need for a bigger standard armrest/console. I also would like to have dual climate control, but it's no biggie. You are one of the few reviewers who give good feedback on road noise, something that interests me. It seems that the Kicks is not too bad. About the same as a Kia Soul perhaps? I have recently rented a nearly new 2020 Toyota Corolla XSE sedan for a week and the road noise was much worse than expected. I also am renting this week the Corolla Hatch for the second time and it has the same problem with excessive road noise. I may try to rent a Kicks. I hope you have the 2020 Nissan Sentra on your list to review. And one day, a Kia Forte.

Road noise seemed better in here than the corolla for sure, I can’t remember my decibel ratings for the soul but probably pretty similar. certainly manageable. Hopefully I can grab a Sentra soon because I’m excited to see its updates too! Same goes with the Forte! I’ve approached my local Kia dealer for the second time so hopefully they let me video their cars

My dad bought a Kicks here in Brazil , its the same color but the trim is quite inferior. The car have a very nice design with cheap interior , but its worthy. He is very happy with their new car. Here in Brazil the entry level is offered for 12k bucks by new one ( Disabled People ). My mom has suffered a stroke then he got the special offer. But with no deduction the entry level is offered for something around 15k bucks.

I have always been a lover of Nissans, but have had quite a few problems with my Kicks since I bought about 3 weeks ago. The air only blows super hot or super cold (Nissan dealership told me there is nothing they can do about this, so I am either going to be super hot or super cold when I drive), whenever it rains or snows my AEB malfunctions, and it is hit or miss if the remote start will work for my car. I am definitely disappointed in this car and think this may be my last Nissan that I own as a result.

It gets 31mpg city and 36 hwy which is good but not as good as some cars. Performance wise it doesn’t have very much power at all but it’s quicker than you might expect. For most people it’s probably fine but if you haul multiple people around or need to get up to speed frequently like on a freeway it can feel underpowered
