A lot of footage from 2 establishments, and a daunting edit as I took over 2 hours of footage . I’ve had to rush this one out so the edit is also a bit rough with less transitions etc . Huaiyang food is common in many parts of China between Shanghai and Beijing, and I have never seen it in any western countries in Chinese restaurants. Very few westerners come to Suqian or North Jiangsu so it is quite a mysterious regional Chinese cuisine for most of us , but in China itself one of the major branches of their cuisine . This really is a video for foodies and I didn’t have time to show you anything of the city or its surroundings as I was quite busy. I appreciate that those of you not so into food might find this one a bit boring.

Interesting.Nice to see you try these exotic dishes, but I suspect most of us will stick to our crispy duck pancakes and sweet sour chicken Hong Kong style at the local chinese....with chips 😊

Great video. On other continents, a chicken might be cooked with the tiny, dangerously sharp fibula left in. Be aware of this. I nearly got one stuck in my throat once. Chicken may be treated like fish in that you should usually prepare to encounter sharp bones. So eat slowly and carefully.
