I guess it's hard to get the heights even close for Alex and John, but they always just screw up John. I mean it's not even close in none of the depictions of the character. Alex is not cocky at all, but it already looks like they are going to portray him as gawd's gift to law enforcement.

This looks really good. This promo is on point from start to finish. I think Prime Video has something brewing. The song selection along with the pics from the series got me engaged. Not a critic of any sorts but man I don't see how any critic will be able to speak bad about what I've seen so far. Aldis Hodge looks like he's ready to take that next step. This might definitely be a home run for him and I'm not saying he hasn't been good in other movies/series because he has. So looking forward to seeing this series.

When they had Rob Cohen directing it, that was a clue that it was gonna be different from the first two films with Morgan Freeman.

Alex Cross was created before Jack Reacher in 1993, and the first Alex Cross film was Along Came a Spider stared Morgan Freeman. I don't see how the Reacher show is why we're getting this Alex Cross TV show when we got the Jack Ryan show before both of them on Amazon Prime.

This character is so far removed from the Alex Cross character in the books that he shouldn’t even be called Cross. Alex Cross was soft spoken, cerebral, methodical, constant and steady character (portrayed perfectly by Morgan Freeman in the movie adaptations) - this Cross is angry, violent and blowing hot and cold (I am referring to the character portrayed in the script NOT to Hodge’s as an actor as I think he is an excellent actor).

Yea I was disappointed by the opening scene he was listening to rap music. Alex cross played the piano and loved classical music. This portrayal is far from the books.

Just because alex cross is black doesn't mean he has to like rap music, be a hot head, and think everyone is racist. The book portrayed alex cross as calm and collected, never angered unless his family was threatened, and loved classical music. Also he didnt think people were racist or supported any political agenda.

Anyone who would step into those shoes after Chadwick Boseman would’ve been compared to him and whether or not the actor was “worthy” of the title. Marvel played the safe bet and took the lesser of two evils by killing off the character. If they left the character alive, people would wonder where T’Challa is.
