This Toy alone inspired generations for 40 years. Optimus Prime is the definition of a real hero and a fatherly figure. I was very happy when finally this prime got a another spotlight and a throwback to the original. Every time i look at this figure it reminds me of the phrase ''If your gonna be a hero Peter , Be a real hero. Be strong enough to be gentle ''.

As someone who got the original when I was a kid back in the '80s, this toy makes me so happy. This IS Optimus Prime. He existed before the cartoon. The blue-eyed cartoon version was basically the commercial misrepresenting the product it was trying to sell. I also love how authentically '80s that chromed Matrix chamber looks even though the original didn't have it.

I have the original still as well. This this is awesome. Now all I need is reissue of the GI JOE tomcat, I broke mine and all these years later I still kick myself for doing that.

I had a lot of these. My favorite was........me and my grandma went to target way back in the day in LA. walking by the toys was omega-supreme😮omg. She said no and like a spoiled brat tears started streaming down my face lol but this was omega-supreme it was worth it because nobody I knew had it this was the toy of toys at the time and there was only one box. I got my a$$ whooped when we got home but totally worth it lol

3093exciter l agree. I really hope the missing link line makes a prowl Jazz hound bluestreak and definitely a Megatron with the gun mode. Release all the autobot cars. No more blaster and soundwave reissues.

The nostalgia is off the charts but, for me, Earthrise Prime is the GOAT! I was 10 when Transformers arrived so the G1 figures flood me with good memories. But what's great about the more recent figures (War for Cybertron and the like) is they look and pose the way I imagined the G1 figures did when I was a kid. They were great but so static and rarely looked the way they did in the cartoon it required a lot of imagination. It was cartoon first, toys second for me, so the more they look like they did in the toon, the happier I am :)

Personally, as a guy that grew up with G1 toys I can say that diecast and chrome plating aren't all they're cracked up to be. I was always frustrated by chipped paint and rubbed off chrome as a kid. I'll always take color molded plastic and paint any day...that being said, I still have the toy colored figure on order because hell yes I do!

Speaking of without the trailer one, it would be the most expensive and best desk toy where you literally cannot stop fiddle with it. Personally, the trailer doesn't do anything to me but raised the price and would eat alot of space. Nice review btw!

Amazing how much knowing about the Diaclone figures answers so many childhood questions 46 years later. Like the flying thing on ultra magnus's chest and iron hide not having a head etc. I didn't learn about any of this until last year !?😂

The graphics on the trailer are not tampos. They really seem like they are, but they are in fact stickers. Mine were on slightly off center, and I managed to slightly peel one of the corners. You can feel the screw holes behind the stripes on the outside too. I applied the stickers from the sheet to the trailer, and they too also come off looking like tampos

This figure is truly incredible. I was about to finally order one when the KO version popped up on showz for alot less so I decided to go for it. I just got it today and I have to say that it is one of the best quality KO I've ever held, better quality than my original first relese G1 Prime. so much diecast on it,perfect tightness on the joints and the paint apps are perfect but the sticker sheet on the other hand are pretty bad but that's nothing some toyhax can't fix , the chrome is spotless, it's quite hefty...even more than my studio series 86 Prime. Well worth the super low price at showz. I totally recommend this verion over the official . lol. I am very, very impressed with the quality. I will totally pick up the other ko of the line if this company puts them out...I will buy a couple of the Arcee and my favourite Hotrod/Rodimus when they come out. I cannot recommend this figure enough. WOW!

I'm really starting to warm up to these missing link figures (also to maybe to add to my G1 collection that way, if the series takes off). Now that there is a Walmart series coming which does basically the opposite ( vintage packaging, with modern molds but with vintage/ toy accurate headsculpts and paint.), my wallet will get hit big time. I am curious though if missing link will also get traction with younger collectors.
