I feel like Siege Prime deserves an honorable mention for being the first modern Prime figure after Hasbro settled on a universal scale and aesthetic with the WFC brand relaunch. Most generations figures before siege had super wonky proportions, limited articulation, no standard ankle tilt etc. so getting Siege Prime felt revolutionary at the time. It's the figure that got me back into TFs.

Armada prime is my favourite but has 2 problems. The shin pads that store the feet/hands can be very tight and has caused some people to break. Easy fix is to open them and sand down the posts that the shins swivel on. 2nd is the grill going into the back of the trailer causes the metallic paint to strip. I have been using metallic gundam markers to repaint and a topcoat to seal. The super mode hands also have paint strip if the gun is held too close.

Thanks for mentioning this, unlike many ppl who praise this figure to the moon, whilst completely ignoring its glaring flaws. I'm sorry, but I'm not paying £100 for something that I'd need to manually fix, because it could break otherwise. I'm not a kid, but I like to be able to regularly transform my figure, without fear of it getting damaged, as that is the literal point of a Transformers toy.

Cartoon accuracy is great and all, but adding new posing elements to a figure that’s all about improving on the bricky original seems the way to go.

Just restarted my Prime collection after many years. I gave away about 95% of my collection a good 5-6 years. Had mostly figures from the Armada, Animated, ROFT and DotM. I regret it somewhat but I had at least kept the Prime figures I had. My new collection has Optimus from Rise of the Beasts and Animated Prime, both Voyager Class Figures I believe. I also have a ROTF Legends Class Optimus (and Jetfire). Lastly I have a little die cast metal Prime from the 2007 film as well.

After getting the Reactivate 2 Pack, it’s easily one of my favorite versions of prime to date. Phenomenal truck mode, intuitive transformation, and fantastic robot mode. I CANNOT wait for that game. I’m also in love with the ROTB SS Prime. Wish the truck mode was better, and wish the shoulders weren’t so clunky, but the overall robot mode is the best looking live action prime to date.

IMO, MP-44s is easily one of my top favorites ever and compares to MPM-04 Prime in complexity of transformation. But Armada Commander Prime is also insane. I do enjoy most of em though, VNR, Lunar, C-01, GE, Reactivate, ROTB Mainline and SS, and Animated. Not getting that Earthspark one though. Waiting on MPM-12 Bumblebee Prime, Legacy WFC Prime, Commander 86 Prime, and Omega Prime. And really can't go wrong with most of the SS Primes, just wish I picked up the DOTM SS Prime, also missed the Buzzworthy version too. Hoping they re-release him.

Can’t recommend it enough. I passed on him and missed a bunch of sales, had to settle for secondhand. He’s absolutely peak though! Usually I keep my commander class figures on display for a long time because it’s such a task transforming them, but I haven’t been able to stop bringing his big ass down from the shelf whenever I have a spare moment to transform him.

While I feel this a pretty spot on list, Siege which In my opinion really kicked off this new philosophy of quality/articulated TFs more than deserves a spot on the list. Earthrise definitely improves upon the design, and excited to finally add him to the collection when he again releases as it's a great fun, and quality mainline release. Surprised to see Bee movie Prime rank higher than the ROTB, but only owning the premium release of the first despite the fiddley bits this is phenomenally good for a SS release, and probably the best/cleanest truck mode we've seen for Prime. Excited for the 86 Commander as it could finally be after all these iterations/attempts be the one definitive Prime to command them all. Legacy Armada raised the bar pretty high for Commander class so hopefully he's as good if not better.

Man I really want that Reactivate Optimus! The Gamer Edition is literally for game figures, why would they not release him in that line! The BBM Optimus is kinda slept on nowadays, but it really was a great figure and walked so the ROTB one could run. The BBM one actually does some things better though, like the shoulders and truck. The WFC one is great, but was about 85% complete 😪 I think I actually prefer the RTS Laser Optimus to the Legacy one, was so poseable and had a great silhouette! And yeah, defo agree with number 1, that is one of the best Transformers figures of all time! Nice list mate!

Since I don't own anything else other than Earthrise and Armada, I agree with your list. I limit myself to what Optimus Prime I buy cause there's just too many of them. If that SS86 is a lot better than the Earthrise, I'm replacing it on my shelf and I might sell that Earthrise version as well. That's just how I go with how I collect. If there's a better version, I sell the old one for the most part. Keeps my collection tight. I only keep them if they're like the original of the original version but if it's just a modern take, every time there's a better version, I'd get rid of the older one.
