Goodness gracious how did I miss this tour? It takes me back to my aunts house when I was little. She will be 100 this July and she had some of the same type things in her home, like the crazy quilt and the kitchen. I love this so much. Thank you for sharing this.

So happy to have found your channel! We live in an 18th century parsonage in New England. Have been restoring it for many years, a labor of love, and we are now retiring, still working on it! I am a textile artist, handweaver, spinner, quilter and stitcher…..rug hooking is on my list! My mother in law was an accomplished rug hooker, and I inherited her equipment when she passed on. Fun to find a kindred spirit out there! You are inspiring me with lots of project ideas for the future! I am an art teacher, so my summers and other breaks throughout the year offer me a bit of time to dig in with all these ancient crafts, but I can’t wait to dig in full time in another year or so! Lovely cabin! Thanks for sharing!

Wow,wow,wow. Love your cabin. If I had remained in the US, I would have loved in a log cabin. I immigrated very young. I love how you have decorated with such vintage homespun charm! Quilts make a house a home! We have a tiny cottage in the woods where we spend as much time as possible. I love being among trees!

It's a wonderful log cabin and I can see that it was built in Tennessee. If I didn't live in my old house, I would live in a cabin. I see so many things that can I relate to in your rooms; all the coverlets, quilts and needlework..the and cupboards and even the old blue stove, ( I had one very similar in my house in Colorado). Love the Rope bed and the ticking mattress beneath. Oh, yes, I have a walking wheel as well! Love it all.

The cabin was a dream come true. It is in northern Alabama. We also have a small old farmhouse in northern Indiana where I am from originally. We just bought it this year. It needs serious restoration. We have the vintage kitchen cabinets and I’ll be painting them yellow ware yellow for sure!

What a beautiful and cozy cabin. I love it! And would you mind sharing with me the store in Indianapolis where you took the hand quilting class? I've been wanting to learn for so long. Thank you!
@mountaincraftsstudio2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Sadly Quilts Plus is no longer in business. Well, technically it has changed ownership and has moved to Lebanon. I doubt they still offer hand quilting classes. You might try Always in Stitches in Noblesville. They may do a class every now and then.

A charming spot for sewing! It has to be a joy to be in there. I am curious as to the maker of your chairs. I am in need of new chairs, something comfortable to sew and sit for awhile and not sink down. Can you share please?

No, this is our someday retirement home in the southern most foothills of Appalachia in Alabama. For now we try to spend the coldest part of winter here. My studio in the first two episodes is in Indiana. We have a small old farmhouse there and my studio is in the old tool shed.
