I majored in child development and not one class talked about primitive reflexes! I have 4 boys and a couple are in elementary school with retained primitive reflexes. I thought I gave them a lot of opportunities to develop, but I’m learning I can do much more. My 4th boy is 5 months old and I want to help him integrate on time, I’m so glad I found your video! It is so helpful.

How about children after 1 year old? My son is 16 months and i am pretty sure he still has Moro Reflex active. I really want to help him. I have bought your course, is there any information about it?

Hi! Our infant and toddler course is designed for children up to age 4 so if that's the course you purchased, it should be very helpful!

Are These exrsices good for teenager ?

For a teen with retained primitive reflexes, we would want to identify which reflexes are retained and then set up a personalized integration plan! We have a free webinar that teaches more about this! harkla.co/pages/register-primitive-reflex-webinar-2023

Do you have any ways to test for work with toddlers for retained reflexes? This is the only infant video I have found and most of the videos involved testing older kids. There's hardly anything for toddlers probably because they are hard to get to cooperate for a video. 😂

Hi! We don't formally test for primitive reflexes younger than 5 years because several reflexes might last until up to 3 years, but also most toddlers aren't coordinated enough to complete specific primitive reflex integration exercises! For infants and toddlers we focus on developmental milestones - we created a digital course for infant and toddler development and there's an entire section on primitive reflexes! harkla.co/products/infant-sensory-development-course

Is it okay to do these activities at any age or stage of development? For example if a reflex is needed as a precursor to crawling /walking should we not work on activities to integrate that?

Great question! For infants and toddlers, we focus on providing different types of sensory input throughout the day as well as facilitating developmental movements! We have more info in this free webinar if you're interested! harkla.co/pages/infant-sensory-development-webinar-registration
