I just got done creating my first loop. I used all primochill fittings and PETG tubing. Didn't have one leak! Super pumped. Now I'm running SysPrep through before I add some Vue. I really don't want to wait 48 hours, I want to finish this bad boy, but I know it will be worth it. So far I've been very happy with Primochill products. I'm glad I was able to buy the correct silicon insert from Primochill for my 1/2" OD 3/8" ID PETG tubing. It was a very tight fit but it NEEDS to be, just use soapy water for lubrication. For my first time bending, these bends came out really clean. I highly recommend it to anyone starting out. I have over 5 grand in this system and I'm really happy that I chose Primochill, so far, so good.

How does this compare to Primo Prep?

Can I leave this prep running through my system? I have decided water looks better and is less maintenance overall. The question is can I leave the system prep running cause I dumped the entire bottle into my system. I did not read directions very well :D The better question is... will it hurt my system in any way? or is it just placebo effect and that prep is actually just water....

intra morph it won’t cause any damage but it will hamper cooling potential. Also you’ll need to add a biocide to the system to prevent growth still. Sysprep is, from my understanding, basically a detergent that prevents debris from sticking in the tubes and keeps debris suspended so it’ll drain out nicely. Also might contain something for ph to protect metals and possibly act as a inhibitor for corrosion. The consensus is to run it for a few days then drain and add proper fluid, along with any needed biocides/inhibitors for long-term use. Most also recommend flushing twice with distilled water after sysprep too. It’s not required, but might prevent a weird interaction with other fluids and ensure best thermals. Hope that helps

will it get small amount of old coloring out of the system? i did a major flush but have minor white opaque coloring left over in the radiator and fittings.

Thump3r22 System Reboot works betters for this, as it’s designed with removing colours in mind.

So should you use Rad Clean to clean you rads before using system prep in a new loop?
@sparkyunofficial1119
@sparkyunofficial1119 3 жыл бұрын
I believe so, that’s what I did. Cleaned the rad first , then run the other agents in sequence . I just followed the new system kit order

Not needed as sysprep is going to clean them anyway. If you want to waste time doing for no benefit go for it it won't hurt anything.

I have to inquire as how should I utilize the system prep and utopia products, can I use them simultaneously or in tandem with one gallon of distilled water for each and how long should the utopia be run through the system...
@chrisladouceur4093
@chrisladouceur4093 4 жыл бұрын
Dion Piggott sysprep is designed to be ran for a few days by itself with distilled water. Then it is drain from the system. Fresh Distilled water is then mixed with utopia and ran full-time. You should drain the system and refill every ~12 months. They are not meant to be ran together and sysprep is not for long-term use

i purchased primoflex clear tubing and came with sysprep and utopia. I just built a new system ek fluid gaming kit. Can i use at least sysprep even if im using an aluminum loop? I have no plans on using the liquid utopia since the ek kit came with coolant.

Ok so is it harmful if I leave it in my loop without draining? My loop would be a pain to drain due to the orientation of my system.

Leaving sysprep running in your system will do no harm to it. We actually suggest that you run sysprep in your system for as long as possible before filling with your final fluid.

@@primochillin so is it okay to just leave it in there with water? I think i prefer the water over the liquid I got from you guys. I mean the liquid is cool and all but the question is can I leave the prep and be okay with that?

@chrisladouceur4093 4 жыл бұрын
intra morph it won’t cause harm but does reduce cooling potential. If you don’t mind worse thermal performance, then I don’t see any issue. You might need to still add a biocide to stop growth though, I do not think sysprep contains this

There's some silicone left inside one of my bends from heating it, it's melted inside. Will sysprep remove that?
@primochillin
@primochillin 7 жыл бұрын
Sysprep won't remove something like that, however, it will help neutralize the loop so it doesn't effect cooling. You shouldn't have to heat the tubing that much where it would cause the bending insert to melt.

what is the differents between sys prep and System reboot? like if i want to use primochill Vue sterling silver..in a pc that has already had coolant use...do i use sys prep or system reboot tot clean?

Sys prep is for preparing your loop for coolant. And System reboot is when you have existed coolant (such as pastel) and you are trying to clean it, for a new coolant etc. I hope that helps.
@MrSyntraxx

ok, So basicly when u have new tubing /Radiator and the whole shabang u could use prep.. but iff u use a system that had coolant in there reboot is for u? like i had primochill opaque , now using EK Cryo fuel than my best option is to go for reboot..because prep doest get the left over coolant color out?
@epremsoft
@epremsoft 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, in this case, you would use the reboot.

Reboot is to clean the loop
@chrisladouceur4093
@chrisladouceur4093 4 жыл бұрын
Little late but iirc sysprep is primarily to get out any particles from a new loop where there may be leftover debris from manufacturing etc. Reboot is to flush the loop when cleaning as part of routine maintenance and includes some compounds that will also help remove old dyes. They’re probably very similar products honestly, but reboot does claim to clear dyes out much better. I think there’s a bigger identity crisis between sysprep and primoprep though, I’d love to hear primochill explain that better

I beg to disagree, PrimoChill has been great to me. I actually ordered a 240mm Radiator from them a few months ago, and they sent me the wrong color choice (yea that's bad). BUT..I submitted a claim on their site, and they sent me the replaced of the correct color choice. Almost immediately, and no questions asked. I received it, and ended up losing the return label for the incorrect radiator. About 3 weeks went by before I found it again and was able to ship it back to them. They never even tried to charge me for taking so long, even though they would have had full rights to do so. I am definitely going to remain a customer of theirs for a long time now. The only issue I have with them is not being able to use any of their cool Primo Vue liquids until they work out the kinks on that.

@@BurningSkullboy You got lucky then, i made the mistake of buying some of their True fluids.. a white and a grey, i ran them in a 2 loop system side by side, i followed their directions to the letter for prep (including said sysprep from this video), mixing, and then finally running them in my system.. within days one of the fluids failed completely separating and clogging up my radiator, pump and staining the tubing itself.. I then put in a ticket, after about a week of them blaming me for their product failing and me shooting down their reasons (it was easy to refute their excuses and blame because i was running two identical loops in the same system with the same hardware, fittings, from the same jug of distilled etc... side by side in the same system) they just stopped replying, and full out ignored me they wouldn't even tell me a good way to go about cleaning the system or preventing this in the future.. after over a week of my emails and messages going un answered i got frustrated and used a bad word in one of my messages (saying they didnt give a DUCK about me as a customer).. but this time coincidentally within hours i got a response saying that the were ceasing my customer support for using bad language... so it seems to me that their plan on customer support is to ignore customers till they get frustrated enough to use a bad word or two so they can tell them ever so gently to DUCK off instead of actually giving customer support
