the greatest show I've ever seen was Primus opening up for Rush during sailing the Seas of cheese and roll the bones in New Orleans 1993 @ UNO Lakefront Arena. Took me a hit of red rose LSD the greatest rock and roll experience I've ever had. Two out of the four baddest trios of all time I can't forget about the King Crimson lineup during red and the police. But yeah I saw Primus not too long ago for the tribute tour to rush for farewell to things at the Saenger theater in New Orleans. absolutely incredible show..... as in terms of the Primus music I don't think it was as good of a show as the desaturating seven but I mean you're going to the show to see the baddest band of the 90s recreate one of the great progressive rock albums of all time Primus doing A Farewell to Kings. They were on point it was absolutely flawless even the keyboard parts were on point. But I was fixed on herb the ginseng drummer all night and his replica of the black- a- chrome Slingerland. A gorgeous reproduction of course Tim plays the Star Classic. The drum parts were flawless I mean Tim Alexander is my favorite drummer from the 90s I mean Abe Cunningham Danny Carey John stainer and Mike Bordin are amazing and huge influence on me but to me they're not as special as Tim Alexander. He took drumming and turned it on its f****** head. That's when I took it to a whole nother level. Listening to his drumming and learning how to play his drumming parts took me to a level no other drummer has. Drumming makes perfect sense when he is speaking the language. But that was an impeccable show Neil Geddy and Alex would be proud. Thank-you Primus

The one thing I did notice at the show in New Orleans was that Les Claypool did struggle some singing Geddys vocals. Real RUSH fans want to see albums like A Farewell To Kings and anything pre Moving Pictures. I don't see bands wanting to replicate Signals! The argument that the bands material after Moving Pictures was weak will always be disputed, but just put on 2112 and see how that stands up to all they did in the synth era of RUSH!

This album needs a vocal like Geddy to work is my issue. It’s arguably Geds strongest vocal performance ever. Love Les and they kill the music side -but they should have hired a great singer. Les has this kind of monotone quirky singing style that just isn’t right.

I was at this concert. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. The band was amazing, the sound was perfect and the set up was good. What ruined this show was the audience.. at the second song Les complained of how many people were sitting down, no cheering or clapping, I was embarrassed. The way they said goodbye to us really hurt my feelings. I blame the shit audience we had. Long live Primus
