Fan since going into a record store and buying a cassette copy of "Suck On This" in '89 not long after its release on a whim as I had read (in Thrasher Mag, as I recall) Larry LaLonde (ex-Possessed guitarist) and Les Claypool (who produced Suicidal Tendencies "Join The Army") were in the band. It was certainly a much different animal than Possessed, the originators of the term "Death Metal". Member record stores, print magazines, & cassettes? Member berries... 😅

This is the very best version of Jilly... the middle section is amazing and the slightly quicker tempo really ramps up the energy.

Les Claypool is one of the most equally innovative and talented people you'll ever see, and in both categories he's far beyond almost anyone else alive.

I was just trying to imagine showing up for a primus concert expecting something else! Wonder what aliens would think if sometime in the future they show up and all they find of us besides bones is primus videos!

Probably the best Primus show I’ve ever seen. And what a fuckin show it was!!
@DrLuke493 жыл бұрын
Still listening in 2021 while also still amazed AF that Les Claypool once auditioned for the bass guitar slot left vacant by Jason Newsted by virtue of the fact that Kirk Hammett and Les are childhood friends

This is one of those songs you have to watch being played to really appreciate

Primus are amongst the greatest talented musicians that ever created music, period. Up there with Floyd, And Tool but in their own way. I don’t know how they continue to do it so damn well after 35+ years. It’s a lot of tough work to be continually creative and good. All 3 of them are brilliant!

Forking brilliant, what other way is there? But their own way....

You reference Tool in the same paragraph as Primus? To paraphrase Jay-Z: I feel bad for you, son.... I got 99 problems but listening to Tool ain't one.

Absolutely 💯.NO question!. One ☝️ of The BEST performances, and, songs I’ve heard, and seen performed live! Ever! In my entire life. And, yet, it’s depressing AF! Which is what makes it doubly awesome 😎!

Such a sick opening drum fill and solid playing right through. Les overshadows the others as he's the character in primus but the others are awesome musicians. Recognise!

Top 5 shows I've ever seen live. This was absolutely insane. There were parachute people and flying mini lights dropping ice breakers gum from a helicopter
