Absolutely one of my favorite Primus songs along with Tommy the Cat. I used to have a music room attached to my garage where I would practice my drumming. I would always play to these two songs and inevitably people would hear and stop in. In retrospect I think it was a great way to introduce people to Primus who normally would not be exposed to it otherwise. Not one person ever left without being blown away by their musicianship. Brought back great memories. 🤘🤘

Don't worry too much about most Primus lyrics. Leslie Claypool is the heirdom of another Leslie : the one and only Phonometrician Éric Alfred Leslie Satie. In French there's a beautiful word to quelify this kind of people : hurluberlu. They're one in a million and you'll be lucky if you cross their path. Edit : I didn't notice this version is slightly different than the video version, in the intro there's something that's driving me crazy with the way Les is emulating a cyclic recod scratch with his playing, it brings some kind of nostalgia from what was considered at the time like an imperfection.

i love what you are doing and how you are doing it with these videos. i'm not in a position to make a request, *but* i'd request the first few tracks off of “the white room“ album by the klf. the music was years ahead of its time, and the band and what they did at the music awards the year they were recognized is truly amazing. completely insane, but amazing and incredible nonetheless. the klf was rumored to stand for “kopyright liberation front“, and they were perhaps the single most punk rock band ever... but they didn't play punk music.

Bro, I’ve been jamming primus for around 20-25 yrs.. it’s seldom, that I’ve ever came across a song I DONT like by them.. les Claypool is an absolute genius of a songwriter, and one of the best bass players to walk the earth. Another good band to listen to is GWAR btw. Try the album, “lust in space”- the title song, lust in space- is bad fuggin ace. Also the song “Lords and Masters”, on the same album. Is a great song too. Honestly pretty much every song is great..just get over their appearance, and listen to the music they actually make. They wear crazy ass costumes and have characters w/ like fully developed back stories 😂… the interviews that Oderus urungus (lead singer, and front man. Dave Brockie) along w/rest of the band were all college art students that formed the band in college at Virginia. Their album, scumdogs of the universe. Is amazing. It’s what got me into gwar. There are a lot of good ones of that album as well. Of the like 15-17 songs On it, the only 1 I’m not crazy about is “sexecutioner” It’s satirical. They are all against violence, and racism, sexism, are actually male feminist, and are all about love and peace. However their characters are exactly the opposite.. I’ll shut up now 😅 sorry for going off for so long, but you seem like a cool dude, that’s into music. So I thought It might be worth it for me to share some things with you. Take care man. Quite an amazing jam. Claypool is king. Tim Alexander is one of best. Unique fills without a doubt. Brain (Brian Mantia) is the other drummer. Praxis and Colonel Claypool's Bucket Of Bernie Brains (C2B3) are a couple things he's been involved with other than drumming for Guns N Rose's. Bootsy Collins seems to be around that crowd a lot (and a guy with a chicken bucket on his head). 🙂👍 Also, at Red Rocks when Primus played Southbound Pachederm, Les' bass cut out. He left the stage. Tim and Larry were lightly playing the song. Claypool came back out and changed the song to La Villa Strangiato by Rush, who were playing there the next night. Amazing show. 2004? You could find it. That's a long comment.
