Yeah, I’ve been a hardcore Prince fan for 20 years now. Seen him live 9 times. There’s something about this performance that just sits and is imo one of his best guitar solos. (I never understood the hype about his Tom Petty solo…)

I never have words to describe what prince meant to me growing up. I was 13 in 1984. By 15 I was performing When Doves Cry and idolizing him. Never got to see him in concert…was waiting and waited too long

No mixing reqd. This is just Prince playing live. The best there ever was imo. No one can make a guitar sing like him. Check out Purple Rain AVI on Arsenio show - he must have had a good 'mixer' that night too.

I'm 50 and still crushed. Summer after I graduated HS, Purple Rain came out. He owned that summer. Had a '66 Mustang and spent many lazy afternoons cruising with a sweet girl, listening to "Take Me With U". He was Elvis and more to us all back then.

Everytime Prince had Sheila E. with him, they just tear the roof off anywhere they jam. My all time favorite percussionist/drummer still as sexy as everrrrrr..... and Prince....no words, speechless, still till this day, I mourn for you. GOD you were so unbelievably talented, GENIUS, is the perfect word to describe him. and nobody talks about how attach you are with your guitar. Together is one of the greatest guitarist and belongs with : Hendrix, J.Page, E. Van Halen, Beck, Santana, Angus Young. Truly, will never see another artist like this one...Prince & The Revolution FOREVER!!!!

Yep his death changed me and i feel it changed the world beyond just the musician/artists world. It rained where i lived almost an entire month after he died. He was a huge influence in the DC music life. Hes lyrically in my lyrics and not just subtle ways. Love him🌌💜🌌💜🌌💜

Ukweli Mmoja oh no, they weren’t related, she just was his bass player from I think 1997 until at least 2010, IIRC. She also played with Jeff Beck among others, just one of the greatest bass players ever in my opinion...and incredibly beautiful to boot!
