If the Duke of Sussex title is removed from Prince Harry, he will remain a prince because he was born to the heir to the throne, but he is NOT the heir . Meghan would have no royal title. Likewise, if Andrew and Fergie's marriage had worked and Prince Andrew's title as Duke of York had been removed because of the "sex" scandal, Fergie would have lost the title Duchess and would not have become a princess just because Andrew is a prince. Fergie would not then have any royal title. Princess Diana was a princess because she was the wife of the Prince od Wales and heir to the throne, Prince Charles. Princess Anne is a princess because she is the daughter of the Monarch (the Queen).
