Never saw a clip of him jumping into the crowd. Took my daughter to a show when she was nine. We were maybe 12 feet from the stage. I had her dressed so cute. At one point he was getting people up on stage to dance. I tried to get her to wave at him but she was afraid. She's 28 now. I ask her sometimes "do ya wish you have got up on stage with Prince now?" She's says "yes mamma I do." She grew up on Prince. I have 3 lil grandson that will also grow up listening to Prince. Pass on the funk y'all!

I remember when he did those special performances on Arsenio and after one ended he slid into the crowd and when I TELL you that those girls damn near ripped all of prince's clothes off until he got up and away fast! I had the privilege of being at this gig, on the barrier to the right of the stage. The tickets were gold with the symbol embossed on them, hand numbered. I was standing next to Paul Whitehouse 😋 The best gig of my life.

I didn't get tix to this one but I went to 3 Prince gigs on the following 2 nights. The last one was an aftershow party which was my best Prince experience ever. He played on a dance floor and I was right in front of him. I could have reached out and touched his keyboard. The show didn't start til 3am due to technical problems. What a night!

i get such mixed feelings watching these videos. first i'm happy then i'm sad remembering he's no longer there then i'm in awe then i'm sad all over again remembering that john blackwell didn't even make it to 50 and then i consider how prince was just so damn good at everything, as if it were new to me, every instrument he played, his voice, his dance moves, like i can't master any one of those things, how did he even prioritize any of it and then i feel grateful that i can now see all these videos i hadn't seen before or were taken down before we got around to downloading them and yeah, i'm a mess. every upload, every notification. i miss him so much.
