This epic jam opened Prince's intimate performance from the Cafe de Paris in London on August 28, 1998. The medley launches with "Push It Up" which had been recently released on the 1998 New Power Generation album Newpower Soul followed by "Jam Of Year," a fave from 1996's Emancipation and then ending with a workout on the James Brown classic "Talkin' Loud And Sayin' Nothing."

How is it possible that this is yet another song I NEVER heard [played on the radio] before? The music industry truly did Prince so dirty by not playing the majority of his music. So sad to think so many folks don't even know what they missed out on ... and never will. RIP Prince - you know he's up in Heaven jammin' and making new music.

Actually there are tons of songs he has never released and push it up was one of them, jam of the year was released but im not sure about talkin' loud and sayin' nothing. some of them still arent to this day. the man wrote so many songs and produced them and never used them. there is probably a vault full of un released prince songs its crazy. he also wrote for so many other artist for example chaka khan i feel for you was written by him.

Prince had that EAR for melody. After that first interview he did back on American Bandstand FRIGHTENED TO DEATH. He either changed his DNA or he changed his chemistry? Tough debate. All I know is this. I love his first r3cord Purple Rainbof course. Diamonds and Pearls. True hardcore owned all 198 records he pit out. THATSCATRUE FAN. REST PURPLE ONE.And yea. He was al day " GAME. BLOUSES😂🤣😊😋😉😉😉😉😉No apologies. He took it all the way and delivered some of the most memorable music ever. The guy could play every instrument. YOU CAN'T TEACH THAT TO ANYONE.

This was professionally recorded for broadcast in the UK. Even these types of recordings must number in the 10s. It'd be amazing to have them all. The private videos from the Vault of rehearsals, gigs, concerts, etc must be 1000s. It'll take us a lifetime to watch them - in fact it's too much for us to ingest. But I'm willing to try!!

@@vamnoone there are still some people doing very good quality music (not much in mainstream pop), but since Prince passed, I spent some time discovering new artists and I discovered people like: Knower, Muse (some people dont like them, but they are real musicians), Robert Glasper, Janelle Monae, Jack White, Thundercat, Alfa Mist (instrumental), PHO (instrumental funk band recommended by Prince himself), Vulfpeck, Lake Minnetonka (very inspired by Prince), etc. I still think Prince is above them all, and I miss the times we had Prince, MJ, Bowie, George Michael and Sting on the same mainstream radio, but I am enjoying them.

I've watched various clips from this show so many times and still feel the magic, the sound, the energy that Prince and the band gave that night.
