We were so lucky to be under the same stars as this amazing man and musician. I was lucky enough to see him live twice in 84 and 04. The biggest loss in musical history. I want to thank you for the memories and The amazing music ❤️ and for your killer swagger and how I would have given anything to where you as a thong lol for a day... My favorite tattoo is the one on my arm I have in memoryof you. I wish you could have known sobriety the way I have it's beautiful I think you would have loved it and felt free... if only .. if only ..if only.... I will see you someday ... The true funk soldier I salute.

In memory of drummer John Blackwell (September 9, 1973 - July 4, 2017), Prince's drummer over a span of 12 years, including the Musicology tour. Gone too soon at 43. ... Damn, I was still sad that Tony Thompson had died in 2003...

I have many of his concerts on DVD and love them all and appreciate his growth as a musician and how he was always evolving. His shows overseas the fans seemed 2 appreciate being in the presence of greatness much more than over here. He could do new music with no complaints. What would it say about him if 25 yr old Prince and 45 yr old Prince was exactly the same 🤷🏾♀️

pauline Hayel yes indeed and I was at Paisley Park the same year as part of the NPG fan club. Some of us got on the stage, we all danced, he played into the morning a few times that weekend. The place smelled of delicious candle scents of unknown origin, and the doves cooed. I talked to his engineers. Took photos of Kiowa Trail gate. I still have my lanyard. Flew home first class.

@technicolorrose55495 жыл бұрын
Everyone has their different theories about what happened. Hell there's some folks that say he's faked his death and still living. To each their own. But I'm just gonna say THIS: ain't nothing gonna bring him back. If he WAS murdered, (which in my opinion I think the most peculiar things are that his so called "assistants" aren't talking; I seriously don't think anyone intentionally murdered him but I wouldn't doubt for one hot SECOND that one of his ppl that ain't talking were the ones who got some of those pills for him); it's gonna be a miracle to find someone they can stick a charge on. That's why no one has been charged today; although there's some messed up shit there is nothing that's gonna hold up in a court of law. Y'all gotta remember he did have a ridiculous amount of Fentanyl in his system....but all it takes is a LITTLE BIT. He was taking painkillers there ain't no doubt. This wasn't a one time thing. People forget: why was it that he showed up at Dr. Schulenburg's office the night before he died he was having withdrawal symptoms. That OD on the plane in IL scared his ass and he quit fooling with stuff for a minute. And then after that visit, that's when the talk came of getting him into rehab. He wanted help. Now if the man wasn't taking pills; why is he going to go to the Dr. complaining of withdrawal symptoms, and then consent to getting help? Back to the point here, because honestly it isn't my objective to try to sway anybody's opinions to mine; hell I could be wrong. This is the last I want to say: I think that we should focus on keeping his memories alive, enjoying all this beautiful music and these one of a kind performances (they all were, weren't they?)....ill tell u one thing I think any Prince fan would know without doubt: he wouldn't want ANYBODY crying over him. He would want us all to keep the love alive. He's alive out there somewhere, his soul is; it's all around us all the time. He's at rest, no matter what happened. Listen to his song, "Way Back Home". He's found his way. And if you believe in this sort of thing....he's reunited with his son in Amiirs purest form, no health conditions no pain and suffering. And he's with all the musical greats he so admired. Keep that Purple love going y'all.💜
