Mercer and Morrison blew their shot twice, Mercer actually three times, both of them were more inconsistent than Bowe was. I already told you why he fought Jesse Ferguson in another comment. Because he beat Mercer as a tune-up fight when Mercer was signed to Bowe. Michael Dokes was on a winning streak and literally his first defense. Who the hell was Phil Jackson and McCall? If I recall correctly McCall had five losses coming into that fight. Funny you mention Klitschko because that was supposed to be Kirk Johnson but really it should've been Byrd who earned his shot twice, and they stripped Lennox of the IBF for not fighting him. Same thing happened with the WBA mandatory Ruiz when the WBC gave him the option to fight their mandatory, who Lewis admitted he fought because of Grants inexperience. Bowe at least gave Lewis a shot, something Lewis didn't do with Ruiz and Byrd when they were in the same position Lewis was in to fight Bowe. Emmanuel Steward called Byrd boring even though that's Lewis's criticism as well, and then they went to have a retirement fight against Kirk Johnson who pulled out with an injury. Who tf is Kirk Johnson? That's pathetic asf. As is crying about a title that was given to you when he lost it and calling your losses lucky punches.
