King Frederick IX shown on the picture is Queens Margrethe II father! Not the current King. Queen Margrethe is currently the only female Reigning monach. Her son Frederick is the Crown Prince of Denmark. Please get basics like this right. Nikolai's mother is called Alexandra and she was born in Hong Kong and is of mixed Asian-European ancestry.. ( English, Chinese and Austrian) Queen Margrethe did not only remove the Prince title from Nikolai she removed it from ALL 4 of her 2nd son (Joachims) children Nikolai's brother Felix and his 2 half siblings Henrik and Athena from Joachims 2nd marriage. His correct title as of January 2023 is His Excellency Count Nikolai of Monpezat. Nikolai would never have been likely to become King of Denmark. At his birth he was 3rd in line to the Danish throne after his father who was 2nd and Uncle Frederick who was/is 1st. When his uncle CrownPrince Frederick married and had his 4 children Nikolai moved down the line of succession with each birth to his current place of 7th in line to the throne. When/if his cousins have children he will move down each time. Please do your research better this could have been found out by a very simple google and suggests very little research was done to make this.

He didn't and hasn't given up any throne. It was never his. He is still on the list of succession to the throne. Queen Margrethe was married to Prince Consort Henrik. King Frederik IX was her father from whom she inherited the throne. The next in line is Margrethes oldest son crown prince Frederik. And his son the next in line, who is Christian. You have got it all wrong. Nikolaj has never been important for the Royal House. Nikolajs mother is a Hong Kong Chinese Countess Alexandra. This crap is proof of how SoMe spreads untruths. He has not have the choice of the throne. No one has mocked him for his choice. He is a highly educated young man with a need for a livelihood like everyone else. I am a Danish taxpayer and I dony want to pay for the ever growing spawn of the Royal family.
