If I am correct, before you start the game, you can write the secret code 'prince mega hit'. By doing this, you can kill every guard by pushing a button, even if you are downstairs and the guard is upstairs.

You can jump at almost every guard with the first trick. But all of them need precise timing and training. ...Not that I am able to pull it off. But thanks for showing :) It is a nice collection

U can get stuck on a bunch of parts of the game. One I discovered sadly early was level 2. If you go down on the second screen and do the hang trick and succeed in catching the lower ledge u will get stuck there.

Nice to see this video is still being watched and this game is still being played. Except for the first one and the one in the fifth level there shouldn't be any problems if you follow the exact movements (they are easy to reproduce due to the movement system). I should have included an input display, but I was very young at the time and I've abandoned the game in 2012. Thanks for your comment though. ;)

i have tried just right now and some of them worked. especially the trick at level 3 against the sceleton is good. but there is one thing i cant understand. at the 1st level you need to take the sword for entire game. if you finish that level without the sword what would you do in the next 11 levels ?

@@acquanaturale9400 Did you set it up right? So you walk into the wall until you hear the UMPH and then you run left and do a running jump. You can be sure of your positioning by walking completely up to the wall and press right so you move a little bit away from it.

i want to do 3 things but it just don't work. not everything i mean, is showed here in the video. 1) when i face a stronger guard at near distance and i do the first step, he always hits me even when i press the up button to block at the same time. but it's possible to hit him first all the time with just blocking first because i saw this a lot of times by others and for them it worked but never for me. but what else can i do except of press forward and up at the same time? 2) there is also a trick to go by guards, with your own sword out but without fighting. in videos they were going some steps closer and then they just could go by him with a twist and then they were pass by him without taking a hit and could go further. how does that work? 3) when you throw down a plate and duck at the right time, the plate can't hurt you even when it's hits you. sometimes it works for me but most times not. when excactly must i press down, to get not hurt? in the middle, at the end? when somebody could help me this, i would be very thankful!

About your last one, here is a video with my input: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2Skaqlvha-XrpI It takes a little bit of practice to get the timing right, but there is room for error and once you get it, it is not hard to duplicate it every time. I made this video a very long time ago and honestly this theatrical one is a little bit cringe worthy for me now. I plan on making a new one with key input and some things that have been discovered since then. ;)

I tried several times and often it work, the trick is to slide to the other side before touch the door, the sprites of the prince slide seems to be bigger and the guard think that the prince is in the other room. The crouch is only for start in the right place.

I think a lot of it is due to the fact that you're in a fight with a guard, and the room you're backing into has another guard, and Prince of Persia can only handle one guard in a room at a time, so at most, make sure yiou're in battle with your sword drawn.

I'm a begginer at PoP, but yesterday, I was playing the first level, and somehow I was able to survive the fall from the second pit. Is this possible? If yes, how can I repeat?

Love the fact you began playing prince of persia. do you mean the pit with the two tiles of spikes at the bottom of the screen? It's been a while since I've played the game, but I believe there is a running jump from a certain distance that prevents you from grabbing the ledge at the other side of the pit. You also hear a "hmpf" when that happens. If I remember correctly, you then lose a life potion and you stay in the crouching position for a second when hitting the floor. I'll try to replicate it this weekend and give you more information.

actually I think it is a jump from a full stop instead of a running jump.

@@0gmo There is no spikes at the pit, it is the one that the left tile can fall aswel. The prince normally die from the fall, but I guess that hitting the wall twice while falling prevented me to lose all of the 3 hearts. The game is awesome! Thanks for answering :)

Well the falling damage is as follows: 1 vertical tile - no health loss (walk into falling or hang into falling); 2 vertical tiles - no health loss while hanging into a fall and 1 health potion loss while walking over the ledge; 3 vertical tiles - 1 health potion loss while hanging into a fall and death while walking over the ledge; 4 vertical tiles - death (walk into falling or hang into falling). So in this picture: i.imgur.com/eH3VsLb.png both the pits where I wrote "you'll die" are impossible to survive because they are four vertical tiles down and you cannot survive that. so if you mean one of those pits i am very surprised how you did that
