Looks great. If you have an ear at Prince, tell them to release a blackout glossy version. Easy money, easy design. Also the tech of the 2019 Textreme Tour 100 310 is amazing. They should remake that racquet with 8 mains in the throat and with a more round head. Would be amazing 😊

Aloha! Great reviews 👍👍👍👍 Have any of you or anyone on your staff playtested the 100P and 100X? I'm just curious about how they compare since they are somewhat similar.

Such a bummer that Prince gets way less love than they deserve. This translates into not finding their sticks in the local market :( Owned the outgoing 100X 305 version for a while, the feel is supreme. Only switched to a Speed because of the extra pop I was needing.

Loving the paint jobs on these latest Princes. The 2024 Beast line looks sweet too. Wish y'all stocked it at TW so I can finally upgrade 😢

I have the 100 (red orange). I love the black 98s! soooo nice! but from what I know those are Japan exclusives (bought mine from Osaka when i visited in 2023). I think Prince JP and Prince USA are different entitities in the sense of products, how they run things, and marketing.

@@elijah.espino nice! Does it play well? I have the old Beast 98 and 100 and prefer the 100. My sister is in Japan for a few months so I might see if she can get me one
@elijah.espino5 ай бұрын
@@tennisvids sorry I just this right now. Didn't mean to reply this late. Yes the beast 100 is great for baseline play, a LOT of power, great access to spin. Thicker beam, and not as damp as something like the tour or the phantom. Powerful flat serves, slightly clunky on the kicks and slice.
@boris67473 ай бұрын
Switch from Vcore 95 2021 version. If vcore 95 feels way bigger than a 95 racket, then this 100x is feeling way smaller and more precise than a regular 100. The beam is very thin, making all your swing faster than any other rackets. Meanwhile, the softness allow you hit as hard as you can and not feel anything on your arm.

When are the 93P and the 97P coming out?
@devinblackburn77002 ай бұрын
Hey TW, between the 100X and 100P, which frame will offer more stability, maneuverability, control, but offer a bit more pop? These characteristics don’t have to be all together in one frame. Great video as always!
@tenniswarehouse2 ай бұрын
I think you will find those characteristics, but with more pop in the 100X. The oval or more modern beam design helps with that. Troy, TW

We like the updated tech and more stable feel, so def worth trying (or if you can't demo), would be worth a switch especially if your racquets are getting fairly beat up and ready to be replaced! Michelle, TW

Are these an improvement on the phantom line…the 93p in particular.

I have the previous model and i absolutely love that racquet. This new cosmetic is hideous, though. I'll be skipping this generation and hoping that Prince goes back to a better look with the next one.

What's the average stiffness on the modern racquets? Would be good to see that to compare
@tenniswarehouse6 ай бұрын
This is not a calculated average, but I would say in general the stiffness ratings are in the 62-68 range (for RDC ratings); there are some that fall lower and some that are higher but I would say there are a lot in that window. So these Phantoms are definitely some of the lowest, with racquets like the Wilson Blade 98, Yonex Percept 97D and 97H, as well as the Head Gravity Pro/MP all being fairly close. Troy, TW

Is the sweetspot small? I use the old version of the 100X 305 and find the sweetspot and spinwindow huge.
@tenniswarehouse6 ай бұрын
I found the sweetspot to be hot and cold and just a bit lower than where I tend to like to hit the ball; I'd agree the spinwindow is big and the racquet has a forgiving feel. Michelle, TW

blech. the green infected the rest of the racket. it looked better in black.

Whoever is leadership at Prince needs to be sacked. They are totally out of touch with the players. And I'm not just referring to the silly paintjob. These rackets have a great shape but the thin beam just renders them useless for stability.
@tennisvids6 ай бұрын
I think this racket looks cool but I like power frames. The Warrior 100 is a really good stick with thick beam. Also vortex was quite nice
@jonwj86225 ай бұрын
You realize Prince has multiple lineups and the phantom is just one of them right? They have plenty of more modern, thicker beam racquets. This caters to people who want a plush feeling racquet for more touch while still being able to create spin and power versus a stiff/spin machines. Lastly the racquet has a twist weight close to 15 so it's plenty stable. I will agree with you that I prefer the black PJ though....
@OldSkoolLegend5 ай бұрын
@@jonwj8622 yeah i know that. I probably know the Prince lineup better than the CEO himself who seems to be totally disconnected. I just wish those lineups didn't have such shitty PJ's and shapes. The Phantom series have the most beautiful frame shapes and PJ's.... well... until now.... with the camo nonsense.
@elijah.espino5 ай бұрын
i have the 100x 2024, and surprisingly the stability of the racket despite it having a thin beam was actually really decent. The play of this stick is very similar to a head gravity pro 2023. I think it's a bit better too, especially with kick and slice serves. I'm only a USTA 4.0 on the cusp of 4.5, so maybe it's different for people who are higher rated than me.
@elijah.espino5 ай бұрын
What i do agree with is the marketting aspect of prince. They should do more in that aspect even if it's just with futures or challengers athletes. And if they can get a few higher ranked pros to use their sticks that would be amazing. John Isner was their only notable player, but now he's retired :(
