Actually WB was angry with Prince because he didn't give them this song. Prince was asked how come he didn't give him this song and his response was it didn't exist at the time. This was was definitely a hit for Prince.

Prince did a great job on this song and video. This song came out after he released the last album COME with Warner Brothers Records. They were angry and asked him why he didn't give them this song and Prince response was because it didn't exist at the time. This was actually a single before he took forever to independently release his album Gold Experience.

Remember this is the 1st song under the "Unpronuncable symbol" Era. His issue with WB was ownership of the master recordings and the pace of album releases. "Prince" felt that he put all of the work in2 his music and should own the masters and release music whenever he felt like it. And that I agree on.

PRINCE's argument with WB's about them not promoting him properly and doing their job. WB's let him release one single and it was The Most Beautiful Girl in the World and it was a huge hit around the globe. PRINCE remixed the song like a dozen different versions. PRINCE was ready to release LoveSign and WB's said No. Gold was released in 1994 and it charted at 88 in the states, in the UK were PRINCE was touring GOLD charted at 10. So PRINCE wanted to know what WB's was doing to earn their take of income.

This is one of my favorite songs by Prince. It is a beautiful track written for his first wife Mayte Garcia. She was a dancer for him at the time. I love how he shows love for all types of women not just what society says are beautiful. The instrument that you heard in the background was a harp and it was played by Prince for the track. I don't think many people know that Prince played the harp as well. Great Reaction!

It was sang to her by him at their wedding she stated the song is about all women she also added she wasn't even in the photo, but mayte lies been inconsistent since Prince passed she may have changed the story
