Never once in the history in the world and anyone ever say Prince can't sing. LOL. I saw him in the early 2000s and besides his amazing singing abilities, what he could do with instruments is just unbelievable. The show I saw he played guitar. He played drums. He played bass. He played piano and played them all well

This just scratches the surface, if you dive in you will see the unlimited talent in both song writing, music composition, vocals, dancing, and being the master of just about every instrument he picked up and played. For many of us who grew up listening to his music from the late 70s to even now, tough to find a current artist who is comparable.

BTW you are right that Prince had a chip on his shoulder, he definitely knew how good he was. But it worked for him and his style. As Charlie Murphy said, "Prince was the only guy who could show up at your party, in frills, and steal your girlfriend. Then steal her clothes, then steal someone else's girl in your girlfriend's clothes.” He was a contemporary of Michael Jackson and they had a bit of a rivalry going on, two top end talents.

A gorgeous song from his most underrated album IMHO, “The Gold Experience”. It dropped in the mid 90s after he did that name-change-to-a-symbol, so a lot of folks ignored it - but it’s packed with great songs and amazing playing from front to back. It’s my favorite Prince record, just edging out “Purple Rain”. (BTW that narrator at the beginning appears several times throughout the LP, introducing different songs. Nice touch.😊)

Prince was a great Talent. This song really showed his vocal range, incredible. Fact, other than Danny Elfman's epic Score for the Batman (1989) film. Prince pretty much did the entire soundtrack for that film. His music has a great rhythm to it. Another great song from him Is "Diamonds and Pearls" from 1991. If you want to get into another epic performer, I also recommend "Michael Bolton". To start with him, I recommend "That's What Love Is All About" from 1987. Great Review Bisscute!

I never comment anywhere, but I've very much enjoyed your work and Prince was what I grew up with. There are a great many eras and styles you could cover from him: Early years are raw: party up and Do Me Baby would be great. 1999 album try DMSR or Little Red Corvette. Purple Rain try the Beautiful Ones. The Sign O' the Times album - perhaps the cover track. Dig a bit into this - he is a rare superstar that had natural technical musical ability, crazy work ethic, creativity out the door, and all with a singular style
