If there's one person that is universally attractive to men and women... it's Prince. He's not male sexy, not female sexy, not straight sexy, not gay sexy... just SEXY! He exudes something that we all want.

Love your insights about how he uses his voice as an instrument, I believe Prince was very cognizant of how the entire song came across and the vocals were just another layer in the overall texture… Very insightful.

Not only was Prince wonderfull to look at and fab performer, He was also an incredibly prolific song writer and producer. The most amazing thing about Prince was his ability to consistently churn out great music, both for himself and for a lot of other musicians as well. For example he wrote most of the music for the funk band called "The Tme" as well as Shiela E. He wrote songs for mega artists like Madonna (track 7 on her like a Prayer album) " Dear Jessie". His songs dotted the Top 40 charts consistently for years. He was an outrageously talented, one if a kind artist. Thanks for the reaction.👍

My favorite part of that video is his interactions with his long time guitarist, Wendy Melvoin. It seems very authentic. It definitely wasn't the first time she rolled her eyes at his antics! He's not someone who showed his goofy side much, but I think there's a glimpse of it here.

Prince was legendary, the day he died is burned in my memory. I listened to him avidly in the 80's even though my dad couldn't stand him (made me want to listen to him even more! lol) but sadly it wasn't until after he died that I started listening to more of his work and discovered some real gems like "Strollin'" and "Seventeen Days". Speaking of dancing, my dance teacher and I put together a fun little tango to "Kiss" that we may have to dust off someday.

Had the pleasure of seeing Prince in concert in 2016. It was his last appearance in Toronto but none of us knew it at the time, of course. These days 90% of music crowds are too busy recording to be in the moment. You can't fully connect if you're on your phone. It's ruined concerts imo. I loved how Prince told everyone before he started that he wouldn't have it. He told everyone to put their phones away and they did for the whole show. Prince did those people a favour.

You are correct in your assumption. Prince definitely made music and his vocals when the feeling and inspiration struck. He had to get it out before the feeling was gone. He was not a big technical guy in the studio , he had to put that music in his head down when he was feeling it.

I got soo much backlash for listening to Prince and at the same time enjoying rock and metal music. I guess especially other dudes found it not masculine enough to like Prince? I dont even know, but the hilarious saying drops to mind as an argument back: Prince might wear high heels, but he will still steal your gurl! 🤣 I think he did it all on purpose,he was really one of the most masculine guys i have ever seen in his appearance, but he was never afraid to dress so unique and differently,so that ignorant people would think he was this or that (alot of people actually thought he was gay or atleast bi,but to me it didnt matter what he was) MJ might have called himself the king of pop,but to me Prince was both the king of pop,funk,rap/hiphop,rock (noone can rock the guitar like Prince) and multiple other genres,as Prince was across multiple genres. He was the biggest musical genius i have ever seen. I also heard he had most or all of Mozarts work in his head,so he could at any time place himself in front of a piano, and just play entire sets of Mozarts music. Thats another level of genius-nes! And ironically as with Madonna who had Donna & Niki backing her up,Prince for several years had Wendy & Lisa backing him up. Wendys guitar play in Kiss is just stunning! While Lisa was/is just as amazing on keyboard, and both Wendy & Lisa like Donna & Niki has wonderful backing vocals. The Revolution will always be my favourite band accompaning Prince (i do however like The New Power Generation too) Again 2 stunning ladies standing behind Prince, Lori Werner aka "Diamond" and Robia LaMorte aka "Pearl",both his backup dancers that left my jaw dropping to the floor. To my surprise i found theese reactions,i thought Prince reactions was a no go still, but it seems like Prince`s lair after his passing has soften up abit on his content. Prince didnt want any of his content on platforms like KZbin,Spotify etc. Maybe the only thing i disagreed with him on. Especially KZbin and Prince being so dedicated into making music videos. Music videos has always been the biggest PR for any artist/duo/bands material, and it wouldnt make sence that he created music videos only for them to end up as being hidden behind paywalls or whatever. Not everything he had opinions about made much sence for me,but i did understand his wish of being independent and having control over his own material,as well as guarding himself against actual copyright infringements. But we all know that fair use is miles away from actual copyright infringements so..... long discussion im not gonna bother you with lol.
