I have never heard any Prince vocals that were not either on point, totally the right note or uniquely, well...... Prince. I still listen to Condition Of The Heart almost weekly because it's so beautifully sung.

Prince's voice was an instrument unto itself. There's been many artists that have remarked about his vocal ability. Thanks for this. 🙏🏿💜

Thank you. I agree his vocals have not gotten enough attention. He has soo many talents they each get buried. Please do a review of his amazing piano playing. Also hugely underrated. His guitar and bass playing get more attention.

Nice one Mr Ants😎. Was thinking about his vocals on Until Ure in My Arms Again and the effort it took to put his 💜 and 😢 into that song. (I can just imagine him like on Piano and Microphone 83) and Soul Sanctuary (the love and joy he added to those lyrics he was able to express so eloquently). These vocals take me to another realm. There's another song but that one... yeah, for me, that's who that one's for 😉💜

He had a great voice from deep bass, to pop vocals to those sexy and creamy falsettos, his dead pan speaking voice "What are u going 2 do? U gonna just sit there and watch" and of course the screaming - I just love it. His multitracking did it for me the most though, the song Adore is a Victoria Falls of clashing overdubs of Prince's vocals landing all over each other. It's pure ear sex!

You sir have done him justice. Everyone loves to hail his peer who's name I won't mention who often lip synched with backing tracks because his live vocals couldn't match his stufio recordings.

The kid had probably the most versatile voice of em all. There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t do, either musically or vocally. He was a mid tenor, that could dip into bass and rip up to high tenor when he chose… BUT, he was most at home 🏠 n his falsetto. From what I understand, these voice types are quite rare. Like Smokey , Eddie Kendricks, & Sylvester, dudes who are at truly at home in their higher head range just don’t occur very often. He was seminal talent

Anyone know when he started singing and how early did he realize he could sing?
@MrAntsworldofPrince Жыл бұрын
That's a good question. It's widely known he started playing instruments as a kid, starting with the piano his father left behind after leaving the family home. But singing there isn't really Any record of that. There is an interview with chriss moon who gave prince his first studio time on his own and mentions getting prince to lay on his back holding the microphone to really capture his voice.

@@MrAntsworldofPrince I see. usually when you have a voice like that as an adult you’ve been singing pretty well as a kid I guess we’ll never know if he could sing when he was in school and stuff. I wonder if there’s anything on record of his sister, recognizing that he could sing when he was a child.
