Well, I live in France and haven't seen Cadbury's fingers on the shelves for a while. I will check on my next visit to the supermarket. I'm an American and so in that sense not a monarchist (though I love your royal family as people, most of them) but I do think it must be grand to have a physical embodiment of your nation to honor your service in ceremony and draw attention to the quiet but worthy causes. Something weird has happened. It would seem in January i will be 70! I remember very well sitting on my father's shoulders when i was about 5 to see the Queen when she came to our town in the UK. She wasn't wearing a crown!!!! So that was me and her finished until i could stay up and see her at varios gala nights on tv. I lov3d the jewels. In adolescence i didn't care a dime about the RF, then when i was working near the Palace in London, my boss insisted i went to cheer her and the crown which had its own coach on the way to the State opening of Parliament. Swoon. As i really hit adulthood i realised the beauty and sigficance. In full maturity i realised that we were blessed with the most amazing Statesman/Stateswoman in the world. Her visit to Ireland had me in tears. Oh how i miss her, tears again wh3n she left us. Charles is wonderful and i fully support Camilla. Yes, i loved Diana too, i can't believe all the nonsense people throw at 5he RF re their private lives. However, the day of Harry's engagement was an eye opener. It was just one red flag. How right i was, what a piece of work the pair of them. That one's wife should be sent into permanent exile. How dare she, and her despicable husband unravel the amazing legacy of Elizabeth and really blot the lives of King Charles, William and his wonderful wife. They are so much part of life in the UK. I still dribble at the jewellery.

@@viviennemargaretprescott9717 so beautifully written saying everything I’d liked to have said about the RF, difference being I live in Aust. I to remember the first time I saw our queen. I was 9 in 1954 my mother and I walked quite away to an advantage point to see QE11 and Duke of Edinburgh drive past (very quickly I might add) I mean she didn’t have a crown, an Orb or a mink edged velvet train, and the Duke looked handsome, young and ordinary but I loved them then as growing up in that time The Queen of England was the Queen of Aust., Canada, India, amongst other commonwealth countries all marked in red on the pull down map which came down over the blackboard in our class room. My mother purchased a small metal 2 cup teapot representing her crown . We sang God Save the Queen I’m a royalist love the whole kit and kaboodle with the well known exceptions H and M - what a disgrace they are - she’s got him by the short and curlies. Guess what I’m 80 next July, however did that happen😊

@diannecameron8359 it makes sense for any charity event to have sponsors. It's good for those businesses and it's very good for the charity as it gives the charity some longevity and sustainability. (Edit: note that the invictus games was doing well until megxit and after they starting taking more and more from the charity). Even if it's only partly funded by Prince William - it's so much better than PH and his wife who takes from charity coffers for the overpriced outfits (with multiple changes) for charity events they attend. Not to mention PW is investing time effort and money on his homewards initiative too.

Would King Charles have the backbone ,to finally call Harry the liar that he is? If Harry would pull this trick on his father . That would put The King in a position to go along with or call him out . Even though he was warned he would lose security if he left and his position is farther down the succession. That position doesn't qualify him for the protection Harry desires. It's a label to him saying I'm important.

When I saw that pic of Kim, I thought it was absolutely insulting! Not only to Dianna, but to the cross more so....

My mum used to make coconut and condensed milk pyramids for us, 60 years ago. We loved them. A real treat in those days.

🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 always love your chats thank you. Red our Royal Family, without them the UK would cease to exist. It would just be a collection of small countries joined by a flag, run by politicians. No identity

Glad you’re recovering nicely from the concussion! Hope your ankle is doing well. We were in boots at the same time! I fell on 6 August and dislocated and fractured my left ankle/leg. Six or seven weeks with no weight on left leg. So glad to be on the road to recovery and pray you are as well! Stay safe!! ❤

Back in the early 70s I was in the Navy. Seeing it on TV doesnt do it justice. Being there with the marching bands it a wonderful experience - even if as a young Wren I could have done with a lay in on the Sunday morning!
