@@taand4725 it’s all relative 40 was a great year for me, I had my getting older freak out at 38, and then at 55, I’m 57 now and I another fella called me young man the other day, I however do look a lot younger and still dress in younger clothes I guess, so as the old saying goes you are only as old as you feel, and in my head I’m still young I listen to current music, there is no set way to age, sure there are things my body won’t let me do without hurting, but I have a lot of friend’s and girlfriend’s that didn’t get to be this age. So I’m grateful, it’s a privilege to get older as so many don’t.

I think the playing of our National Anthem was in support & solidarity of our country as a whole after the 9/11 attack and the devastating loss of 3000+ lives, not just for Americans that couldn't get home. They also had a beautiful Memorial Service at St. Paul Cathedral attended by thousands of people. I'm sure both British & American, perhaps from other nations as well. Britain has shown themselves to be our ally as we are theirs. Much appreciation & respect is due to her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, and the people of the United Kingdom. Congratulations on this spectacular milestone in your nations history! I'm loving all the magnificent decorations, floral displays & flags. Looks beautiful!! Loved seeing the Royal family having a grand time during the parade. :)

I remember his birth, and have watched him grow to be such a distinguished man. There is so much corruption in politics and in the world today, it's beautiful to see someone who is not phony or bad. He seems genuinely concerned for all mankind, but holds duty and tradition well. He is able to be dignified AND approachable-- a trait his beautiful mother had. Prince Philip and Prince Charles' dedication to the environment is what made me interested in the Monarchy. Prior to that, I had grown up thinking they were a bunch of spoiled pratts because Diana and Fergie were the headlines when I was growing up... They seemed to be attention seeking "celebrities" that were always having affairs and doing "poor me" interviews and I never took the time to learn about what the Royals were actually about. Now I am so proud to be part of the commonwealth and am in awe of their dedication to us all and the planet. God bless them all and God save the Queen!

We are seeing the transition happen right before our eyes. While it is sad, being an acknowledgement of Her Majesty's inevitable ageing, we can look to those members of her family who are stepping up and taking on more prominent roles and know the Monarchy is in very reliable hands. Those members, those "working Royals" being led by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall include (the hardest working Royal) Princess Anne, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex. I would not be surprised to see young Lady Sophie Wessex begin some public duties in the near years ahead, as well. As I said, ageing is inevitable but a loyal family you can be proud to leave behind as your legacy is not. Her Majesty must be very proud of her family.
