99% of people who are cribbing about "Why no test drives" or "Why delay in launch" of Kylaq, are people who are sitting in their couch with no intention of buying or even test driving the car. But just because it's Skoda VW, they have to bash them on the internet because they are not so called "Desh ka loha". Compare it to others brands, they don't even give cars for 1-2 years after booking. Atleast Skoda has good conscience to be transparent with users where if someone books the car, they will get the car assured within 3-4 months at max. Also, Skoda has done a camouflague drive and Journalists have told the viewers their experience (back in Nov) The interior reviews have been done in depth too by every other moto journalists and they all are on KZbin (since December) SKODA has already announced publicly that the test drive and embargo for journalists will lift up by the end of Jan. But some viewers without any research or information just have to bash the brand. Bhai you guys wait for 2 years for XUV700 and Thar. You can't wait for a month for a car launch? Such hypocrites. When Mahindra gives a waiting time of 2 years, it's not a mistake but when Skoda VW asks for 2 months time for launch and assured delivery within 3 months, that's a mistake? This is nothing but a propoganda by biased Indian uncles or some uneducated unemployed youth with smartphone and wifi, to bash the German brand because they just can't stand that VW Skoda is still fighting back with better cars and that is hard to digest by Korean or Indian OEM or Maruti fans. Hyundai is working on localising Tucson to compete against xuv 700. They're planning to launch it in 2026. A Indian built Tucson long wheel base will be a lot less expensive. It'll be priced higher than Alcazar.

However if they price the new Tucson more than Alcazar then it'll be too expensive. Alcazar is already more expensive than XUV 700 first 2-3 models. I think Hyundai should just discontinue Alcazar and price Tucson from 20 lakhs if they really want to challenge Mahindra.

I have givenup on possibility of new NA 4 cylinder engine from any manufacturer. TAMO and Mahindra are more focused on EVs. Nexon EV feels more premium and well put together than Nexon ICE. So, I guess they will keep those 3 cylinder engines running and eventually push fraustrated buyers in that segment towards EVs. Even dezire came with 3 cylinder engine.

Got to Compliment KIA, in about 5 years of arrival in India their market share is around 6% against Honda (30 years), VW-Skoda (20 years) with surprisingly there market share being less than 2%. Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra, Toyota, Kia 6 Co. combine market share is around 90%. Rest 13 Co. including Honda, VW-Skoda, MG,...... combine market share is just 10%. These clear indications are apart from those Co. Rest either they lack portfolio or Buyers do not have trust & Confidence in there Cars Reliability. As an owner I have been repeatedly saying for me the key factor are Peace of mind Ownership, Good, Affordable After-Sales Service Stn & network. It's easy to buy a Car but it's difficult to maintain it at least in Indian conditions. Best Eg. is Toyota Inspite of expensive Cars, people trust their bullet proof Reliability & Reasonable Service Costs.

Your statement isn't totally wrong but there are multiple dynamics that should be compared like how MG Windsor has outdone Tata's EV. How Virtus is number 1 consistently over Verna and City. What segment cars a brand is offering. For example Kodiaq means 10 Altos.
