Paji and his fans are stuck in the past. German quality, German bhp blah blah. That may have been true 10 years ago. German auto industry is in severe decline but they're too blind to see the writing on the wall. German brands like VW, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche made most of their profits from the Chinese markets and they're all in a downward spiral in China. Even in South East Asia, Australia, Latin America their exports will dwindle as people shift towards Chinese EVs. German brands are being disrupted and they appear clueless. VW is spending billions trying to buy stake in American and Chinese firms like Xpeng and Rivian to get their assistance in fixing it's laggard, outdated tech and manufacturing process.
@SunderdeepSingh2 күн бұрын
These are part & parcel when market dynamics change. The shake is there because they are losing marketshare in China. Eventually if they will shift to manufacturing in cheaper countries, that will solve the issue somewhat. German Government will never let them go bankrupt.
@alburaq32902 күн бұрын
@@SunderdeepSingh German brands are good in ICE because they have decades of experience building them and their core competency is in combustion engines and transmissions. EVs don't need any of that. EV needs core competency of batteries, motors, software where China is ahead. Even US is good in those departments. German industry is being squeezed out by both China and US. Sure their government will keep them alive but they'll get limited to EU. Their export market share will shrink significantly.
@siddharthasamuel72592 күн бұрын
Ever heard of partnership? They already partnered with US based Rivian and are co-developing software and expertise for their EVs going forward. It's good to share our perspective but do your research first :) @@alburaq3290

Today anyone with a camera, WiFi and KZbin account is trying to become industry expert (refering to the driverhub channel latest video on VW going to be bankrupt) 😂😭 Here's the reality of VW which is far from being bankrupt 👇 1. VW isn't shutting down it's global Germany plant or any other plans anywhere whether it's Africa or Brazil or China or india or Germany (watch the recent CEO statement for this month wherein their board of directors agreed on this and made a 5 year plan of step wise till 2030 on cutting non performing assets off and optimising operational cost for increased margins. Watch the latest news and report. They will cut costs on manpower front but no closures of plants are taking place. Like any business does. Why don't people raise voice when Indian companies lay off to cut costs and when VW does it in Germany, every content creator gets a content to make and layman will believe them in India blindly. Utmost hypocrisy! 2. VW global sales are still 2nd highest in the world after Toyota. So they got enough cash flow to sustain operations easily. For any business, "Cash flow" ensures operational continuity, not profits. Every global conglomerate goes through Profits and Losses and innovates to reignite its margins. VW group is just going through an operation overhaul to lower cost on production side and increase the output quality overall globally. 3. No brand in India can match the dynamics and mechanical sortedness of VW/Skoda even in its 2.0 avatar. That's a fact. Although Indians don't give a shit about that, still, these cars are overall far better goods than any other brand. The only dept where VW/Skoda needs to optimise and bring more focus on interior perceived feel and tech which they will in their next gen Facelifts and products. 4. VW already is bringing in cars from its global portfolio this year, namely, Tayron 7 seater, Taigun new gen, Golf GTI for the Indian consumers in D segment. In Germany, Golf and Tiguan are still the highest sellers in their segment. In China, VW Siac partnership is really strong too and VW is actually doing decent there in EV game better than any global non-chinese player. 5. Their sales in India are decent even in C segment considering just 400 showrooms across India both VW and Skoda combined and sluggish car sales in the industry overall and also the perceived size of its SUVs being smaller than competitors like Creta. Pulling off close to 10k sales by Skoda Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd is still decent considering these conditions. Even Verna can't keep up with Virtus or a Slavia in sales despite having access to 1500+ showrooms across country vs Volkswagen Skoda's 400. Reality is Volkswagen is playing smart by not launching random senseless products and they are playing it safe (although they should launch Kylaq sibling ASAP). They don't care about being segment leader in sales ( tincans anyway sell most in India thanks to uneducated or uninformed Indian buyers & few biased journalists who hate Germans and discarding global brands and buying Indian brands more) VW Skoda is stronger than ever before in India and they are getting stronger in future to come. Even globally VW's sales are super strong in isolation ensuring enough cash flow to expand, restructure and sustain it's operations. The only thing that is eating up their profits is production costs and political scenario in Germany where even BMW, Merc are suffering due to it which is a temporary setback. In EV race, VW is the only global mass market non-Chinese brand that is leading in sales too globally. It's simple business 101 which VW is solving step by step. They are not going to get bankrupt ever nor are on short of cash. Their production costs are high due to age old labour contracts and govt. seat on the board and hence, lower margins which has compelled them to optimise their operations by cutting unnecessary elements which drives up cost of production. Some KZbinrs today will do anything to defame VW without even understanding "B" of business but ignore the companies who do even more poorly globally and in India like Honda, Nissan, Renault, Stellantis group etc 😂 Volkswagen is far from being bankrupt. As sunderdeep ji said, Automobile industry is a golden goose of Germany and the govt. Will always support them by hook or crook. They are already levying higher taxation on Chinese EVs to push home grown brands as first step.

As always, highest achievement of Sunderdeepji are honesty and sincerity. Despite his open love for VW group he gave the crown to Windsor EV. Even though it may be a great car, I will never buy it as it is ultimately a Chinese brand and my money will not go to a country that kills our soldiers, wants to grab our land and create disturbances in NE, etc.

Now MG should introduce their updated ZS EV and undercut Mahindra BE products. They'll sell well and even eat the market share of ICE Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara segment. Mahindra has went for form over function with BE 6 and space utilisation isn't the best. Back seat looks cramped compared to its massive wheelbase. Mahindra tried to make it a performance oriented product and it's cool but it has pushed the pricing too much. If MG ZS EV can provide a good varient under 20 lakh then it'll sell like hot cakes.

Hello paaji I am writing to inquire about your thoughts on the Hyundai Verna Turbo 1.5 manual SX variant. I am considering purchasing it for under 16.5 lakhs on road. I require a vehicle with good performance, features, and ample space, as I am tall and so is my family member. Unfortunately, Volkswagen and Skoda vehicles are not available in my city. I have already booked the car and am awaiting its delivery. However, I am experiencing a sense of FOMO regarding SUVs, as many of my acquaintances are recommending the Hyundai Creta or Seltos at this price point. These vehicles offer significantly less space than the Verna, yet they are still perceived as superior. In light of the Verna’s current abysmal sales, I am concerned about its long-term viability. Will this affect its resale value after five years? I intend to keep the car for at least the next seven to nine years. My maximum budget is 17 lakhs. During my test drive of the Honda City, I found it to be noisy and had poor noise and vibration (NVH) levels. The interiors also appeared to be uninspiring. Our current vehicle is a 10-year-old E220D. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely,
@epicgameryash97952 күн бұрын
If you love Sedan then get a Sedan, most so called SUVs like creta aren't even the SUVs they are just hatchbacks on steroids or malnourished SUVs. Verna will give you far better driving pleasure than any so called suv in that budget
