The white double-headed eagle is on our national coat of arms, read what that story means in heraldry. For us, the white eagle means freedom and the kingdom of heaven, which we strive for as a people throughout history. This song has a deep meaning for us Serbs, after many years the time has come for someone normal to represent us at Eurovision after Marija Šerifović and her victory in 2007. The song is symbolic and full of metaphors. It talks about the Serbian people's longing to be free again. The "black birds" are actually NATO occupation forces stationed in the Serbian southern province of Kosovo and Metohija since 1999. The father eagle tells his little eagle son to be patient and wait until the NATO troops leave and then everything "will be over", meaning - Serbs will be able to return to their cradle in Kosovo.

Eagle's Nest is metaphor for Serbia and the land that was forcibly taken from Serbia by the NATO and West. In Serbia there is Eagle species that lives only here in Serbia. She is metaphorically singing about unjust Serbian fate. Black birds can be referring to US and EU airplanes bombing Serbia over lies, covering clear sky. It is when bombing begun. Spring. US and NATO occupied ancient Serbian territory of Kosovo and Metohija over lies and gave to Albanian mafia. Land occupied is core Eagle's nest with dozen of churches Serbs built almost 1000 yrs old.
