You are right brother that we differ only in the color of our skin, our wounded soul is the same. Here is a fun fact: At a time when Europe treated the black race as slaves, Serbia had the Constitution of Sretenj from 1835, which reads: "Every slave who sets foot on Serbian soil becomes a free man." Serbia is a unique European country, where there has never been racism. I think it comes from the law of the emperor Dušan. Greetings from Serbia ❤

My eyes are full of tears. F*ck...what our people went through in past. I was born in Croatia, just 35km from Jasenovac. I remember the stories my grandmother told me. Her father was thrown into a well with his throat cut by Ustase. She was 5 years old. They were living in a village and whenever Ustase came down the road they went to the woods because they never went there because they were scared of the Partisans which were in those woods. When Ustashe pass through the village, they would return to their houses to put out the fire in their houses which Ustase wanted to burn. One day, the village had wheat, but didn't have the mill. So my great grandfather and few people took all the wheat and wanted to go to another village just a few km away, to trade it for the flour. On the way they were slaughtered and dropped into a well. On 1991 my family remembering what happened in the WWII went to Serbia. I was 6 years old, catching the last bus to Serbia without anything. My mother, brother and me were sent without any bags, over the night, just to save our lives. My father and grandfather stayed fighting for their home and land, but politicians sold us. Now we are here, in Serbia, remembering everything that happened. I hope they will never be war again on the Balkans. The most bloodiest war is between neighbours. You can't imagine what they can do to each other. Those crimes would never come to your mind. The war brings out the worst evil in people.

Jasenovac wasn't just one camp it was a complex that hade more then one out of which Jasenovac was the biggest one. It was made for Serbs, Jews and Gypsies, but vast majority of victims were Serbs. That camp was specific in WW2 context because of several things, it was the only camp complex that was run without any Germans, so it was completely run by Croatian Ustashe. And it was unique because of the manner of executions, Nazis at first used bullets to kill Jews but later streamlined the process by using gas and stuff like that. In Jasenovac most killings were done by knives, hammers or other tools or famously by srbosek(Serb cutter), some kind of glove with a knife which guards in the camp used when they had competitions on who can kill the most Serbs, the record holder was Pero Brzica who managed to slaughter around 1000 Serbs in one night. Jasenovac was unique because it was the only camp complex that had a concentration camp just for children. It was also unique as it was tied with Catholic church, with Catholic priests doing force conversions. And it is the only know camp that disgusted German officers to the point that general Glaise-Hostenau complained to Hitler that Ustashe are too brutal towards the Serbs, comparing Ustashe to beasts.... This is very short story about Jasenovac to truly understand and hear all horrors of the camp I recommend doing your own research, maybe even doing a reaction on some documentary about it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKisZmSKdtyNpLs&ab_channel=TheWatchtower this one has English subtitles...

In the constitution of the Principality of Serbia from 1835, which is called "Sretenjski ustav", there is also a section on the absolute abolition of the slave and feudal system, where it is written that every slave who comes to the territory of Serbia or has already been in Serbia becomes a free man. All of us Serbs were brought up on those philosophy, which is why we have always been fighters from freedom throughout history.

YES YES YES!❤ I have been constantly checking your page to see when you would do a “reaction” to this song 🫶🏽✌🏼 When I first heard this song a couple of months ago, I had to listen to the song 3 times to take everything in and I started to bawl my eyes out. Truly this is an underrated song, I listen to it almost daily with my family and it never gets old. Some insight: The dance you see in the begining has several different variations of it but it is generally and well known in the region as “Gluvo Glamočko” which translates to Silent (or deaf) dance of Glamoč. Glamoč is a very small town in Bosnia where my family is from. My family has passed on the own meaning of what this dance is known for, but a simple google search will tell you “Glamočko gluvo kolo - This is a Serbian dance from town of Glamoč in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Glamočko kolo dates all the way back to the Ottoman empire and it was performed as an underground activity to preserve Serbian culture under immense oppression of the Ottomans as well as the local Muslim population. - Serbs in Glamoč were probably under the worst conditions in all of the empire. They were forbidden from playing and dancing during religious and nonreligious holidays, more often than not, the instruments would be confiscated and destroyed, hence The Silent Kolo was created. This is the only dance in Serbian culture where nobody smiles or laughs, showcasing the hardships Serbs went through during the terror of Ottoman rule. - This kolo has no instruments and no singers, the only percussive sound of foot stamping is enhanced with golden coins that decorate the female dancers’ national wear. - In 1982 Glamočko gluvo kolo was included into UNESCO world cultural heritage. “ There are a few other possible explanations of how this dance came about but it not certain (finding a partner, etc.) This dance was then and will forever will be our form of resistance. We are a very small (Glamoč) but a global and proud population- and thank you for B.S. for putting us on the map with this song!!!! Pavlina’s singing gives me ‘deep south vibes’ like a girl singing about slavery in the states for some reason. This dance also reminds me of “Pow Wow” in Indigenous traditions, and likewise some dances that black people had to create in America. Whenever I hear this song I think of these people and the people of Palestine and globally. My heart aches for all under oppression. You are absolutely right that Serbs/Slavs are like black people. My husband says that Serbs are the blacks of Europe 100%…. We are / were heavily discriminated against (until recently)…. We excel in sports, love good food and music and have had our asses kicked on all sides, but still our faith in God keeps us going. Big respect for all your videos & for being mindful of not “rating” the song. Slava Bogu!❤️
