So from what I have gathered, this seems to take place after Disgaea 4 since if it was taking place in the middle, I am assuming Valvatorez would be too busy dealing with the A Virus or dealing with the Corruptement or stopping Nemo from destroying the Earth so this must take place after his game. I am assuming that despite what Artina told Valvatorez in the ending, Valvatorez didn't accept it since he didn't personally make her afraid so it'd probably be cheating in his eyes to drink her blood due to an action beyond his control made this happen so he still isn't drinking her blood. With this in mind, it really shows how powerful Valvatorez is because in such a weakened state he's keeping up and challenging Killia who in previous videos seems to stalemate the top tier characters like Zetta and Priere so it could be assumed that Tyrant Valvatorez is remarkably strong which would make sense considering the shit he's done. This also shows how strong Killia is because even in a weakened state, Valvatorez was able to defeat Fear the Great which was a weapon made by God to destroy the world so Killia more than likely could achieve the same feat. Its really interesting to see how these strong characters interact with each other, these god like beings who are known and feared throughout multiple Netherworlds. I really want to play more Disgaea and NIS games to learn more about them because they all seem interesting, cool and bad ass.

That's really a disappointment. If these cutscenes had voice acting it would've made them much more worth it. D4's VAs were excellent.

I'm confused about this scenario because it implies it takes place after disgaea 4 and if that is the case wouldn't valvatorez already have fulfilled his promise of scarring artina and should have no problem drinking her blood.

He only manages to do so in one of many epilogues, so it's not necessarily canon that its resolved.

I know this is like a year old but to quote valvatorez's line in the video "I have not yet seen your face tremble with fear so I cannot drink your blood" meaning he is going by the I didn't see it so it didn't count rule

Artina was being a bit overly feminine with that bow. She also never wasted her time with something like stealing curry in the original. Valvatorez also shouldn't have complimented Fenrich like that. I did like the semi-dark atmosphere regarding the sheer amount of trouble Fenrich goes through for Valvatorez, even if it only lasted moments. ------------------------------------------------------------ Also, what happened to the Disagea 4 ending scene regarding Artina and blood?

+Josh Miller I read a tumblr post that speculates that D5 happened before the other Disgaea. And the DLC takes place WAY after the game's story. Explains why Asagi isn't crazy in this game really. Also, D3's DLC and DD2 showed that Flonne can change between forms at will. In short, no need to use time travel as an excuse. Except for the Makai Kingdom DLC. Cause that happened.

+parodyres there are multiple asagi, and d5 wont happened before the other disgaea, if it is;sicily wont be with laharl, heck even laharl himself wont awaken yet, adell wont know who the hell is rozalin and axel. and rozalin wont get access towards zenon, salvatore and mao shouldnt meet yet either, and almaz and sapphire shouldnt be a married couple, and as maxin said, valv and artina shouldnt even meet each other yet, heck even tyrant valv shouldny meet with artina yet. if anything it supposed to be er...different dimension all together with weird timeline

Ahh Killia the voice and backstory of Shadow the hedgehog minus the angst and amnesia but they have one thing in common there stories sucked and so do they, there both so fricken boring while drawing you into a false sense of something grander but it just never pulls through at the end.
