Does it? You're not allowed a stopover in HKG in this example right? So you'd just be flying 24+ hours (in a nice product of course) just to get to Europe for 85K, when other programs can get you to Europe quicker and cheaper. Am I missing something?

Im trying to get from ORD TO BKK one way. It is saying i am not allowed to do it. However, they have ORD to Hongkong and then direct flight to BKK. Do you know why they wont allow me to do this?

Life miles would be great. I got a bunch left over that's still usable for cross can treks but it has it's risks especially in the communication front which you may be aware of. Any deeper dig and sweet spots would be a hidden treasure noting it's cus service limitations

Essentially because of AM is the distance based program (capped at 85k ish), therefore you could mix different cabins to further save the total miles you spend by combining second leg as econ class. especially the percentage of the second leg is more than the first one.

Thanks for this very useful video that I just viewed today. Looking to make my first redemption with Asia miles to book a first class ticket with Cathay Pacific. Very good to know that a CDG HKG is 100 k miles while a CDG HKG SYD in F/J is only 107 k miles. I was wondering if Asia miles allows a mix miles+cash once you get to the payment page (which I can’t since I have not transferred anything yet) or is the 100k miles for example fixed and you can’t decrease it by adding some cash ? Thank you

Hi , i have so many questions regarding on how asia miles works. As per my boss he said we can look for an available flight on the other airlines then call asia miles and tell the flight that we want to book from other airlines, then i spoke to asia miles and told me that we can only look the available flight for other airlines only on asia miles website. Honestly i am really having a hard time to understand how this things work, i am hoping you can help me out here. Thank you!

Hi Ricky, are you aware of RBC changing their product transfer rules? I was reading the terms and conditions of some cards (I know, who does that) and I notice they actually say "if you product switch from this card, this card or that card, you aren't eligible for welcome bonus"
