Lugansky is a wonderful pianist. Not a "prima-donna", but a solid musician, with great technique and great depth in his musical vision. Thanks for sharing this amazing concert in such a dark period.

Words can't describe how wonderful Lugansky's playing is. We can only be grateful for such a superlative musician.

More and more Nikolai Lugansky is going to be the best pianist of the world - in every sense you can imagine.

Merci Monsieur !

I've heard these pieces played by Nikolai in a dozen concert halls all over the UK and in Europe. Every time it's followed by a thunder of applause. It must be so strange and disturbing to hear only silence and the echo of footsteps. Bravo Nikolai and thank you. As soon as you are travelling again I will be booking tickets!!

Oh my God! At the climax of Sonata 109, he was in with all power. But there was not a single wrong note! And it's a live performance. I couldn't believe it at first, so I watched this several times. Call that artistic and technical perfection!

In my opinion, a wonderful performance throughout the concert. Absolute perfection! And also a memory, for the future, of these tragic days and an exemplum of the care that music can donate. THANK YOU!

Impeccable recital. A very solid musician (pianist). I particularly enjoyed César Franck's Prelude, Fugue, and Variation in B minor. Bravo!!

Lugansky, for me, is one of the great pianists of modern times - yet - this Beethoven, seems to me just too rounded at the corners - too softly tapered off at each phrase ending. Beethoven playing, I think, must be carved out of granite - sharp edges, and not too smooth or subtle, as one would execute a work of Chopin's. Altogether too much dynamic shading and rubato for my taste.
