I do not think the way to avoid the problem was to not tell anyone. While it is always helpful not to admit your crimes while acting like they do not matter, the way to avoid the trouble was to NOT COMMIT THE CRIME in the first place. Once that has happened, true repentance would be helpful, complete with a plea deal with prosecutors and a full allocation and really apology in court is also a good why to go. If you commit a serious crime, lying about it and trying to weasel out of it is just more bad behaviour and in some cases can be further crimes. In Britain there is no right to remain silent, but you can talk to a lawyer and agave them clarify what you need to answer and they can help you negotiate a plea!

It was far better for Andrew to have the interview than to remain silent. Have you all forgotten the Royal Correspondents and Royal Biographers. These 2 are a headache to the Royal family. At some given day or time they would have sat down Beatrice and Eugene and ask them the questions about their father. Why? Because when JE was arrested and images showed their father in the mansion that was going to be their main focus of them. So in order to avoid his children to be involved. He rather do the interview and let it go the direction the media wanted. Afterall, wasnt it proven that image of Virginia Giuffre was a photoshop. In addition, wasnt it proven the reason Maxwell was confined not to spill anything until the right opotum moment came. Which was all the suspects were presented in Court. So you see! This interview Andrew gave them his confession what they do with it is up to the media. Since that interview has any Royal Correspondent or Royal Biographers taken an interest in proving the York Family innocence? Look what has followed, in 2024 PD has listed names in the case. But images show Sarah, Eugene were in his all White parties.
