Unfortunately she really wasn't. Her acting was fine, but Vanessa is just much too large to play Princess Margaret. The Princess was a very petite woman, smaller even than Queen Elizabeth, and Vanessa towers over Claire Foy. They should have found someone of the right body frame.

saddest thing she said: "i guess i'll be second best to my grave", and what she said happened. in everyone's eyes she was a rebellious, bad, vain kid. she was such a lovely woman and i know that she went through a lot of pain because she was always compared to her sister, she didn't get to marry the man she loved, had an awful divorce, and just relied on the alcohol and smoking to keep her away from all the sadness and that's what made her rebellious. rest in peace, Princess. i want you to know that you looked very lovely as always and that i know you're with your father now who truly loves you. fun fact: she was father's favorite, but Liz had to take over because she was older and Margot was devastated that their father was gone, because she felt the best love she could feel from her dad.

I don't think it's that, perhaps some of it. People need to realize that Diana got credited with a lot of things the royal family were already doing, though. Like Princess Anne for instance, she worked tirelessly in Africa to help the poor and sick but no one cared, but as soon as Diana did the exact same thing she was hailed as a Saint. But then I look at Princess Margaret's children, also not very good looking, so where's the common denominator? My guess is the Bowes-Lyon's gene, aka the Queen Mother's side of the family.

Princess Margaret was so beautiful. She had the most gorgeous large blue eyes. It’s too bad that she chose to live hard by chain smoking (like her father did) and drinking hard liquor like whiskey so much. Longevity obviously runs in their family (on her maternal side) and had she lived a healthy lifestyle I don’t doubt that she’d still be alive today. I’m sure that her mental health and depression inflicted upon her by her family also took a grave toll on her health and well being. Her heart was broken so many times that it finally gave out when she was only 71 years old.💔
