As a 20+ year cancer survivor, I can tell you that, after chemo ended, there is a period in which you must undergo tests every three months or so. after 1 year of cancer free tests, you are released to tests every 6 month tests, then every year. After about 3-5 you may say you are cancer free. It's very long, and it feels longer when you're surrounded by negativity. You must be positive, stress free.

I found out I had cancer during the same time Princess Kathrine came on tv to tell Us about Hers. I did ring that Bell. I've been Lucky that I found Mine in early stages 1. 8 months of scary painful tests and surgery. Now hormone blockers. Now the real fun begins. Not. Cancer gives You a whole New Outlook on Life, Family and Prayers. During this whole process for Me, I felt that Princess Kathrine was walking this path with Me. @@HotVoodooWitch I developed shingles just before being given the all clear after chemo for stage 4 cancer. I have to say that the shingles experience was far worse than the chemo, and I believe that was because my immune system was shot to pieces. With the chemo, there is a kind of respite during each round, with the shingles the discomfort, and then pain (which lasted some time) was at first 24/7. There was no relief for some time. It was a least a year after both of these illnesses before I felt in any way human. en then, you are never. It takes some time to build your health again, on many levels.

Of course the end of chemotherapy, or radiotherapy, does NOT mean the person is cancer free! It just means that the current treatment is over. Anyone who has had the cancer diagnosis may be in remission following treatment, but not cancer free.

I also have cancer. It started in my esophagus and left lung. When the doctor told me six months ago it wasn’t in the esophagus any more, he said I was in remission not cured. Sure enough, six months ago, the cancer had metastasized to my brain and I had another tumor in my left lung. I wish Princess Katherine the very best. Right now, I’m in immunotherapy and that may be what’s in store for her. Cancer is always hideous for anybody.

All of us in remission have to live with the thought the cancer can come back. And Catherine probably has to do the same as I do. Every three to six months get tested. I know for me I have to take a PT scan every six months to make sure the cancer is not there. This is why we listen to our Dr.

Catherine Princess of Wales is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. A wonderful human being, kind caring compassionate, a gentle soul, who whilst going through a very difficult year still her thoughts are with others. Her video was very touching very natural, an insight in to how her cancer diagnosis affected her whole family . Exactly. I just can’t with these boomer journalists. Actually wondering about why this family released a well produced, beautifully filmed footage of a young family on their recovery from a cancer diagnosis? The message they are sending is a one of cautious optimism and about the true importance of loving our family and being loved. It’s lovely they even went to the effort. They could have posted a formal and cold update on a palace gate and then released a statement on their socials but they gave us a beautiful montage of a mother recovering from cancer treatment surrounded by things and family she loves.
